Apple Digital Masters versus Hi Res

Hello!! Quick question folks, can you differentiate between Apple Music @ 256 kbps AAC and FLAC lossless 24 bit offered by Primephonic, in terms of sound quality? I am from India and Tidal is not available here.

Need help to choose the best wireless headphones

I just got the Dali IO-6. I already had the B & W PX7. To my ears, the Dali is at least thrice as good as the B & W. I really don't know why What Hifi gave 4 stars to the Dali and 5 to the PX7. The PX7 has bloated boomy bass without texture. The Dali is refined, has impact and texture... I am...

Need help to choose the best wireless headphones

As I listen more and more to my B & W PX7, I feel that the bass is overdone on these headphones, orchestral drums seem overbearing.

Need help to choose the best wireless headphones

Hello friends, I listen to orchestral classical music. I have the Bowers and Wilkins PX7, which I like. However, I do find the PX7 to sound a touch polite and am looking to expand my headphones collection by adding a second pair of Bluetooth cans. I prefer highly resolving headphones with a...

Question on XLR to XLR interconnects

Hi,   I have never handled XLR cables in the past and am familiar only with the RCA type. Could someone kindly explain to me how to attach and detach XLR cables? Do they have a push n click locking system? I fear damaging the sockets while connecting / disconnecting.   Best regards...

    SPL Phonitor 2 + AKG K712 Pro/K812 or Beyerdynamic A2 + T1 2nd generation for classical?

Hi All,       I have a Burson Soloist SL that is failing and cutting out in the left channel. For headphones, I have the K702 and the T1. My speakers are the Dali Zensor 3. To my ears, both the T1 and the K702 sound good, but the K702 appears to be tonally more neutral and closer to the...

Question on grounding for disc spinners

Hi,       Why is it that a majority of Blu-Ray players and DVD players have 2 pin AC power plugs, without Earth (Ground) terminals? Most premium CD players on the other hand have proper 3 pin power plugs with ground terminals. I have noticed that using a non-grounded disc spinner with an...

Just got my AKG K702s and Valhalla. Headphones sound like crap..... grr...

Quote: Maybe when people do not hear BASS, they feel that the bass is distorting?   OTOH, a LOT of recordings have a bit of clipping on bass notes and loud sections and highly resolving phones like the K-702 and T1 will reveal that.

Just got my AKG K702s and Valhalla. Headphones sound like crap..... grr...

Too many people seem to be obsessed with boom boom boom thud thump bass. But try a complex Beethoven Piano concerto and you will hear how the lower registers of the piano sound on the K-702. Very well controlled and pitch accurate ... that is what good bass is all about as opposed to BASS.

Hi,     I happen to work in the IT industry and am headed to the States on a short-term assignment. I have one problem. I do not know how to cook. This is not strange as here in India domestic help is cheap and women do most of the cooking. This might be a strange thread but I am here...
