Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I personally liked the T1 better after listening to the 880 properly amped in the store, but the LCD2 is a damn good headphone and a good choice if you like it.- Allucid

600ohm is supposedly not the same as the 250. I liked the 600 over the 250 when I had it, but it comes down to wether you're using it for home only or semi portable. In the long run I'd be more comfortable using the 600, plays better with amplifiers and DACs.- Allucid

My experience with FedEx - have your tracking number ready and just give them a call to give them special instructions for delivery. They're actually really good for service.- Allucid

Moving Armature drivers?
By dynamics I meant the tuning and the soundstage of the headphone, and how well it responds to sounds across the board. Metallic sounding, I mean how revealing IEMs are compared to headphones, they're not a warm sound when it gets to 4BAs, it's more revealing and unforgiving, therefore...- Allucid

I run my DT880 through like this - Source -> preamp -> AV receiver or DAC / amp from my MacBook. Either way gives the DT880 more than enough power, the 600OHM version aren't that hard to drive, it's the same with the whole Beyer line / dynamic drivers but as soon as you go to orthos / planars @...- Allucid

I'd love to try the Legend R universal demo. Looking at a TOTL CIEM for my 18th birthday, but I'm not sure if I'd get lent it.- Allucid

HIFIMAN Flagship Headphone HE1000 Beta Testing Opportunity Complete - Feel free to still comment
I definitely interested to compare these between the HD800, LCD-2, XC and my favourite - the T1. I have access to basically all the TOTL open headphones via my audio store (jaben), they allow me extended listenings. Let me know.- Allucid

Thanks for clearing that up. They just look smaller than I remember. I was probably given different tips from before (I had a loaner model that I bought shortly after)- Allucid

So in theory it'd improve the dynamics of the headphone, making it less metallic sounding?- Allucid

Noble 4 Impressions Thread
I'm writing this review mainly as a thank-you to Noble Audio, Magnus, and most importantly Brannan, who got me a replacement for my N4s with a channel imbalance and even sent it via a local distributor! The new Noble 4 is much different from the old one, being smaller, more discreet (all black...- Allucid

Tube amps - warm, fun but accurate. Widens the sound stage and kind of gives a weird tunnel effect. SS - accurate, solid sound. Depends on the interconnects used.- Allucid

Solid state amps make Beyers more accurate, while tubes make them warmer and fun sounding. Pair the T1 with a solid state and a tube amp, and damn it's good.- Allucid

Review: Estron Linum BaX --- New IEM Cable for a New Age
There is a difference in cables and materials to a certain extent. It gives a cleaner connection or a warmer connection, and the higher you go up the chain, the better the quality of the connection is, the better the sound is. The BaX is better than the music because it uses two braids and can...- Allucid

GoDAP portatube works good for the Beyer range, as well as FiiO amps. You have to listen to amps and equipment before buying, everyone hears things differently.- Allucid

Still looking at buying these. I'm demo'd the Roxanne and the JH13 (my audio store only carries JH) plus heaps of quad BA IEMs, and was wondering how these compare to full size headphones? I know the Roxanne does very well, just this pair I demo'd was an RMA (they had no mids in the drivers)- Allucid

Moving Armature drivers?
http://www.addictedtoaudio.com.au/product/grado-gr10e-in-ear-earphones Grado brought out an new driver it seems. I was wondering what the difference between an normal BA and a moving one would be? Would it be like a dynamic driver with a coil, or better?- Allucid

Unofficial V-MODA XL Pads thread.
I kind of agree with the statement that the M-100 is the jack of all trades, in terms of looks and build quality nothing beats it. You'd just need a good amp like any headphone, but if somehow the M-100 met a Beyer it'd blow my socks off. V-MODA are a pretty large company but still give the vibe...- Allucid
