Sony MH1 R&D Story ...and discussion.
Hi, is the frequency response of the MH750 the latest version of the earphone? I've heard that there are two versions (older and newer) and both sound different. Thank you.- Davidek

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
Try playing music on your mobile phone (has to be mobile phone) on max volume and then plug the headphones in it while playing. I had the same problem and this did usually solve that.- Davidek

High quality recordings of fast cars?
This is also quite good channel, the guy records with binaural microphones in his ears. But sadly the frequency response somehow isn't flat.- Davidek

High quality recordings of fast cars?
That is great! Thank you. Just an ordinary youtube video, but a quality mic, and especially flat/balanced frequency response. I don't even mind if it was outside of the cars. I would like people to throw here any kind of videos/recordings with good sound.. later I can make a nice...- Davidek

High quality recordings of fast cars?
I wouldn't even need microphones under the hood, just good microphone anywhere. If some youtubers would have a quality mic, it was intended for recording voice, so bright sound. Where I am actually getting great sound is in games, for example Most Wanted 2012, which sounds actually amazing...- Davidek

High quality recordings of fast cars?
They don't have to mix anything. Even my 3 years old phone has ten times better sound quality.- Davidek

High quality recordings of fast cars?
I search for good recordings of cars for a long time and I can not believe it, but it is a common problem of the whole internet. There are practically no high quality recordings of cars. Even when I find a video with a title of ''sound'', the sound is just horrible. This is the first real...- Davidek

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
But why did you boost the bass with eq when you've just taped it to lower the bass? I recommend trying to tape just the top vent and leave the back vent open, it lowers the mid bass, but the deep bass stays strong. Someone may like it.- Davidek

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
Question about the mod with blocking the vents: The top vent should have a at least a pinhole, but I am getting really good results without it, so when the hole is fully closed. The frequency response seems almost straight from bass to mids, without any tilt. How much is the risk of damaging...- Davidek

Lost all my bass, no idea what happened. (Busted headphones?)
Did you find out what was the problem? I have the same problem right now.- Davidek

They were probably fake. The weird thing tho is that they had their signature, the sound was very flat, bass went very low and the peak/sparkle in the highs, but the sound was lacking any kind of quality.- Davidek

I meant that even if the frequency response was somehow horribly equalized, the actual quality of the sound was very very bad, like a 50 dollar headphones or something. And if I remember, there was no difference, no matter where it was plugged in. I sent them back after a few days of course.- Davidek

It may sounds funny, but every, even high end headphone I've listened to here in czech republic sounds like 10 dollar crappy headphone. I will probably write some thread about it.- Davidek

The reason why Sony has stopped selling the old mdr-XB headphones with XB-1000
NOTE: Sorry for my english, it is not perfect :) So, I think I can say that Sony had some problems making these, because they released some models, which are bass-light. I can tell that, because I have one. I bought the MDR-XB700 about 4 years ago, and it supposed to be my first nice...- Davidek

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!
Saying K550 are not audiophile is quite ridiculous.. don't ever say that please.. An entry-level audiophile phones are called even Grado sr80i, and these are far beyond that quality, for a killer price right now. You are probably just nurtured by high-end headphones, but as good as headphones...- Davidek

Can ear pads affect the sound in other ways than frequency response?
For example, if you put ear pads with harder material on headphones, could it possibly cause bouncing the frequencies in the cup, making the sound muddy? (I've heard when a headphone measures ringing in the impulse response, the headphones usually have poor soundstage). The thing is, I...- Davidek

NEW - Sony XB 1000 - no bass?
Wow, how fainting? I wish so much I could hear them.. I read someone's review and he said he needed to take them off for a while when the low bass kicked him, amazing... I think Sony stopped to sell them because they had some problems with frequency response, my XB700 had a gap in like 50 Hz...- Davidek

Will this passive equalizer circuit make the bass more powered?
I have an old CRT television Samsung and there is kinda special headphone amp on it, it boosts bass and listening to it is a lot of fun, it is a ton better than equalizing with software, the bass has really some power. I found on the internet this simple passive equalizer, but I am worring...- Davidek
