Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread
Quote: Experience. I have two sets of triple flanges (one that came with Westone 3's and another that came with Shure SE535's) and both are small. Between the IEM's I have seen/owned, 1p2's have biggest nozzle. And therefore, back to my original question - would be nice if...- rmeister81

Anyone know where I can order triple flanges that fit the 1plus2's. I have fit problems with the silicon tips and t400/500's.- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Yes, mine is the long cord one and I have a converter at the end to 3.5mm. I haven't tried it with the momentums unfortunately, sorry! Ref: comparison to iPhone posted later. I love my ak120 but fact is the following - I tried a 256k (apple match) file through both the ak120 and the iPhone and...- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Posting few thoughts on pairings: All on 1.21 AK120 + TH900 = Excellent. Positively surprised at how it sounds without an amp AK120 + 1plus2 = Excellent. I think this is the IEM version of TH900 AK120 + Shure SE535 = Not impressed. The whole sound signature lacked depth and punch...- rmeister81

Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread
Quote: Thank you! As things stand I am due to get my 1plus2's in a week and my Heir 8a's a week after that. Will be interesting to see how they compare given the opinions on this thread have been mixed.- rmeister81

Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread
Can anyone recommend which comply tips work for the 1plus2's? I like the Pseries (for fit reasons) but I am not sure if they are compatible. Reading through the posts it seems the T400 and 500's may work? Thank you.- rmeister81

To build on this. 1. As above, terrible. 2. Depends. If it is in a high ambient noise environment, not very good.- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Getting a full charge was difficult for me too, but my unscientific tests show that when I use an Ipad charger (more amps) it is considerably quicker than anything else I have, so I have switched to just that.- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Just chiming in on the value bit for portability. My previous (and only good portable set up I have owned) was Ipod -> CLAS -> Graham Slee Voyager/RSA 71A and I can positively say that even without an amp in the chain the AK120 beats that set up hands down. Combined with the fact that it...- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Yes, I did. I ordered on May 27, delivery took another week as they were out of stock. Great piece of kit. Still trying it to find an optimum portable solution. I love how it sounds with the TH 900 but its not very on the road friendly. I have the SE535's that sound so-so with it. So, I...- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
I didn't haggle at all! I looked up their website on a Sunday and they had a banner saying 10% off, picked that code applied to my order and voila - 1140, discounted to 1026. I was 50-50 on whether to pull the trigger on the AK120, but when I saw the discount, I did what any (in)sane man...- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Ref price of AK120: I bought mine from Audio Affair couple of weeks back for £1026, delivered. Regarding synergy with Ed8's - They pair very well, but was a bit lacking on bass for my liking.- rmeister81

Upgraded firmware and there is definitely a noticeable lack of body on my TH 900's. it's like the EQ at 600Hz downwards is damped.- rmeister81

The Astell & Kern AK120
Just got my Ak120. Initial impressions with the TH900 is that its worth the money. My comparison rig is the iPod + clas + rsa 71a. Definitely prefer Ak120 straight up over the latter. Next up try it with the rsa71a. Is firmware v1.00 still the latest?- rmeister81

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
Thought I’ll post some impressions on the TH 900. My set up is Ipod -> CLAS -> RS 71A -> TH 900. My baseline ‘direct’ comparison was to my second pair of headphones, the Ed 8’s. Overall my impressions for the TH900 are thus: - Definitely better sound stage and imaging...- rmeister81
