Just reading up on these and it seems a lot of people refer to the Vmoda cable as being a good replacement. Is it just this cable at the link below for $12:   http://v-moda.com/audio-only-cable/   Didn't see anywhere which said exactly what cable it was.

  Thanks but I am going to narrow it down now :)   I'll remove the FXT90, with the comments on the IM70 it is definitely sounding like the way to go. The IM70 wouldn't require the Topping NX1 would they to drive them just as good not amped? As otherwise I would have to settle with the Havis.

Thanks, I'll go for them. Worst thing that happens is that I sell them on!   I don't like huge amounts of bass. I had V-Modas before the CALs and they were a bit too bass heavy. I just want more clarity really especially when it comes to classical.

I wouldn't say it 'needs' a forum app. The best thing for head-fi is to implement a responsive design so it can degrade gracefully to any screen size using @media queries. Then it will work right out of the browser across multiple devices.

I have finally decided to stick to IEM and managed to narrow it down to two options and really can not decide between them.   CKM500 GR06   I could maybe at a stretch get the EPH-100 but only if there would be a substantial difference.   Anything to help this tip the balance one...

I did see the CAL but I feel that that due to the shiny exterior and general size of the cans that they would not be suitable for wearing outside, for me personally. If they were of a similar shape and size to the ES7 they would have probably been a contender for me.
