I need to become more familiar with the HF3 but I can give some initial thoughts between these two. The RS2e is more relaxed (smoother) sounding with a bit larger soundstage. The HF3 is more aggressive with a bit more bass slam, but with an incredible live like sound. I have around 200 hours on...

GRADO STATEMENT GS2000e - Review and First Impressions

I received mine about a week ago now and have been listening to them exclusively and haven't had a chance to compare them directly with any of my other headphones yet but will this weekend. I would say I'm around the 15 hour mark with these and I have to say I'm really impressed, they remind me...

This is a good ranking, and I agree with it considering I've owned most and currently own quite a few in this list. I've recently purchased the GS2000e and with very little burn in feel that it bests my GH1/G and RS2e handedly; not having owned any version of the GS1000 to compare makes me feel...

GRADO STATEMENT GS2000e - Review and First Impressions

I purchased a pair of these from 4ourears.net and should have them soon. I've been looking to purchase a pair of full size Grado's for awhile but I couldn't decide between the GS1K and PS1K without having auditioned them. But being a big fan of the GH1 and hearing about the similarities to the...

This worked great, I thought about hanging them as you described but I didn't think to use a blow dryer to help smooth out those kinks and that really made the difference.

Thanks joseph, I'll give this a try tonight.

Cable question, I've never been a big fan of the material Grado uses to wrap there cables because of how prone they are to kink, twist and bend making them difficult to straiten especially after having stored them in a case. My question is what techniques do you guys use to straighten them back...

Thank you Mike,   That's the only place I can find one as well, still a lot cheaper than the one I ordered.

Woo Audio WA6 + WA6SE: Tubes, Comments, Pictures, and Advice

Has anyone tried this "Brimar 10E/598/5Z4G~5Y3G Black hole plates Foil getter tube - 1950s" in there WA6? http://www.ebay.com/itm/201436720869  I probably should have consulted this thread before making the purchase because it wasn't until after I ordered it that I found this one...

    Grado GH-1 Discussion

Just received my WA6 (stock tubes for now) and am loving what I'm hearing with the GH1. I'm not at all ready to do a review of the WA6 and won't on this thread but I just had to take pause from my listening to just say I love the GH1/G with this amp.

I've owed the MS2e for a month now and I would say they are phenomenal. Compared to my RS2e I would say the mids are a bit more recessed but very detailed with a little bigger soundstage, there's more bass but they are not as transparent. The RS2e is the most revealing Grado HP's I've ever...

Just love how smooth the RS1e is with female vocals in this classic song.

    Grado GH-1 Discussion

I use the original PS500 as well when I have the itch for some bass (Grado bass) but if I feel the need for something greater in the bass department I switch to my Sony MDR-Z7.

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

I enjoy the heck out of the RS2e and GH1 and I'm glad to see that you own the PS1000e (which is suppose to be my end game) and still enjoy the other models as well. The RS1e seems to require  a bit of patience to be fully enjoyed, but I wouldn't hold it against anyone for wanting to return them...

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

I will say I wasn't blown away by the RS1e at first listen but I did notice an improvement from my first pair I owned. Since then I've logged around 40 to 50 hours on them and I can say they have really opened up. I agree that the GH1 sounded great right out of the box but now having spent...

These are the newer ones I posted about over in the (http://www.head-fi.org/t/794247/grado-rs1e-matters-and-impressions/75) RS1e matters and impressions thread. But these drivers are flush with the wood cups and are very comfortable unlike the first ones I owed back when the "e" series came out.

I second the Garage1217 amps with Grado's, I've been rocking the RS1e with a Sylvania 6sn7 tube for a month now.

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

Been following this thread for a while and I look forward to hearing your impressions of the new RS1e. Not sure if you've had a chance to listen to an earlier "e" version to compare but I have a newer version as well (with tan leather headband with flush drivers) and more input on these the...

I don't understand it either, I would say my Grados get about 90% of my listening time while the HD800s get the rest.

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

Listening to The Grudge by Tool right now with the RS2e and I can say they have more attack than the RS1e with some harder hitting bass and a little more lively in the midrange. Wouldn't be a bad choice for this genre of music.

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

I'm still trying to figure that out, I've Owned the RS2e for about a year now and the RS1e and GH1 for 2 weeks. The RS2e are excellent at low volumes and can be a bit fatiguing at mid to higher volumes where the RS1e sounds smooth at no matter what the volume level is set to. The RS1e seems...

    Grado RS1e matters (and impressions)

I knew you were kidding.  I owned the RS1i a few years ago and sold them to acquire the HD800, and as much as I love the Sennheiser for it's huge soundstage and incredible detail they still were missing something the RS1i had. So months later I read about the new "e" series and had to have the...
