q-Jays eartips/sleeves help
Hi, need an advice on q-Jays eartips, would appreciate any help. I switched to q-Jays from Sony MDR-EX650 and they were a perfect fit - the silicone eartips were so soft and the isolation was so good I barely remembered the IEMs were even on. So after an upgrade I was hoping to get a similar...- roflcoptor

PC audio source upgrade for Wharfedale 10.5+Marantz PM6004
thanks for the replies. I will be playing some games but not that much. It will mostly be movies/series. So I don't need USB DAC/AMP combo (like most of the USB DACs are), only DAC, as I will be using an external amp. Is that correct?- roflcoptor

PC audio source upgrade for Wharfedale 10.5+Marantz PM6004
Hey, Got an X-Fi XtremeGamer as a source right now but I reckon some upgrade might be needed to support 10.5+PM6004 I just got. Was looking at X-Fi Titanium HD for it's price tag (can be obtained at around 120$) but still got some doubts about this XtremeGamer -> TitaniumHD upgrade, and...- roflcoptor

my HM5s are also dead silent, but they're over-the-ear headphones, just like K701. maybe that's where the difference lies?- roflcoptor

Brainwavz B2 Impressions & Discussion Thread
hi. I have a distinctive noise (hiss?) with B2s from when no sounds are playing. I've tried my Brainwavz M5s with the same sources and the hiss is much less noticeable. is this normal or should they be completely quiet? those are my first dual balanced armatures and they are only about 2 weeks old.- roflcoptor

[Impression] FiiO E10
do recent E10s still click between tracks? got one 3 months ago and it was clicking at the start of every sound played (windows sounds, tracks in foobar2000, etc) so had to return it.- roflcoptor

E10 clicking/crackling issues
Quote: Just tried both WASAPI and ASIO to no avail. That's probably a E10 issue. Have tried googling this and found out some other people also had such problems with earlier E10 versions. So it still persists through Olympus (v3). I guess I'll use 30 day moneyback while I still can...- roflcoptor

E10 clicking/crackling issues
Quote: Tried pulling out jack a bit as well with no result; jack looks rock-solid on olympus version by the way. Power management for for USB root hub's is disabled by default for me. Have also tried both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, also an externally powered USB HUB. Quote: I...- roflcoptor

E10 clicking/crackling issues
'sup folks, Got a new E10 Olympus from Mp4nation today. Was very excited to get this baby and my expectations were met - a build quality, size and overall pleasant feel of this little DAC were just great. Disappointment, however, came in only a few minutes after the moment I've connected...- roflcoptor

Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer + DAC
Hi! Is there a way I could use an external DAC with my X-Fi sound card? I've heard that Wolfson 8740 DAC on FiiO E10 is much better than CS4382, which is in XtremeGamer. Or should I stick with my XtremeGamer and just buy an AMP? The thing is I don't want to completely switch my X-Fi card with...- roflcoptor
