Thieaudio Hype 2 rattle. Is this normal?
I go through Amazon AU linsoul store. Sent back the unit for refund and purchased a new replacement. Also, if anyone is interested. The second unit had the exact same springy sound on the left bud, while the right bud did not. Sound unaffected. Curious to see what's inside. Either way, I'm...- cenumis

Thieaudio Hype 2 rattle. Is this normal?
Interesting, thank you for your input. Wonder why it's more prominent on the left vs right. I suppose it's not worth the hassle getting a replacement then.- cenumis

Thieaudio Hype 2 rattle. Is this normal?
Hey guys, Just received a pair of THIEAUDIO Hype 2's. When lightly tapping or jiggling the left earbud, there seems to be a physical rattle within the housing of the bud. Almost like a lose driver is floating in there freely. When I reproduce the same steps on the right bud, a tap or a jiggle...- cenumis

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
Thanks for that. LISP VST is pretty cool! I ended up just lowering 12k hz a bit and it reduced the annoying "tss" for me quite a lot. Will play around with Lisp a little more to see if it achieves a good result. Finally happy with these.- cenumis

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
Currently using a few EQ presets by the usual people like oratory1990 etc, but I can't pin point the frequency which I can tweak to remove/reduce the "tss" sound that I get from some vocals. Any tips?- cenumis

Getting really mixed reviews about the HD700. Unfortunately where i'm located, auditioning is not an option.- cenumis

I think i'm a fan of closed right now as it creates a bit more sub like bass for my ears. I'm open for suggestions though!- cenumis

Schiit Modi works via USB Hub, but not directly to onboard USB.
It was a generic brand, unpowered 4 port hub, connected directly into the motherboard. Either way, everything is working flawlessly now. I'm also on the same boat as you. Asus won't be on my shipping list for a while, lol.- cenumis

Schiit Modi works via USB Hub, but not directly to onboard USB.
Cheers for the reply. I work at a computer store so I grabbed one of these to test, it did indeed work. After some more testing in our tech department, it seems that the USB ports just aren't giving enough power. I ended up swapping for a Gigabyte board and all is well now. For some...- cenumis

Schiit Modi works via USB Hub, but not directly to onboard USB.
I did contact Jason, he pretty much said it's a motherboard issue. I've tried the first release drivers, latest release drivers and a few in between. I just don't understand how the Modi can work via a USB hub and NOT directly connected to the motherboard I/O. It's just easier for me to...- cenumis

Schiit Modi works via USB Hub, but not directly to onboard USB.
Fault description: Once plugging the Modi into the PC via USB, the sound manager in windows would consistently detect/undetected in a speedy fashion. This consisted through ALL USB ports, (both USB 2.0 and 3.0) and with multiple USB cables, ('Audiophile grade' and the printer variety). All...- cenumis

[HELP] Connecting a subwoofer to monitors and a DAC
Hey guys. So I'm being handed down a Warfedale SW150 and I wanna throw it into my system for some fun. Gear and connections to follow: Warfedale SW150: Audioengine D1 (Line level connections I believe): JBL LSR2328's: What I'd like to do is JBL's > Subwoofer > D1 to...- cenumis

My weird PC setup using studio monitors and a z906 sub. Explanation and a question.
Yeah it came across my mind to do that but I don't really require the sub all the time, just when I feel like some rumble. I can see what you mean about the crossover though, At least no damage will come from it. Thanks for the reply!- cenumis

My weird PC setup using studio monitors and a z906 sub. Explanation and a question.
Hey. I just wanted to share my weird setup with you guys for my PC and also wanted to ask a quick question! I love my monitors, the sound is amazing but it just lacks the low end and punchy bass that I sometimes feel like, so I thought to my self, why not add a sub? I didn't really want...- cenumis

Fiio e9/e17 as a preamp/DAC for active monitors
Hey guys, thought I'd just update in case anyone was interested. When I received my monitors, I was getting massive noise from the USB connecting to the DAC when I turned the volume up on the back of the monitors. I solved this by using an Optical cable to my PC and powering the DAC with an...- cenumis
