Bottlehead Amplifier Discussion / Comparison Thread: Crack, SEX & Mainline
I'd be very interested to read any opinions on how the Mainline performs with the Audeze LCD-2 rev 2s. I currently use an ALO Pan Am to drive my LCD-2's which works very well but would like to know if the Mainline could offer improvement.- titusgroan

Best DIY amplifier for LCD-2
Previously I have built a Bottlehead Crack for my HD650, the pairing is excellent. I would like to do the same for my LCD-2s but haven't come across any threads discussing good DIY amps for this headphone - any suggestions? Has anybody tried the Mainline amplifier from Bottlehead?- titusgroan

Are the Sennheisers HD598's worth the money?
I had the HD598's for a short period of time, enough though to allow for burn in of the drivers. Driving them from a Fiio E10 I was unimpressed with the quantity and quality of bass produced by the transducers. It seemed quite weak to me.- titusgroan

What high end 'phones for me who prefers musicality over accuracy?
The HD650 I feel is comparable to the LCD rev 2. The HD650 has the advantage that they are light weight and don't threaten to fall off if you tilt your head too much to one side !- titusgroan
