Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: I did not send new impressions. The fit of SE5 is perfect. I totally don't feel them in my ears. I enjoy NT6 with 801 + zero-impedance GameAmp. It's not so cold and it's bass is warm and full. My TWAG2 gold also adds warmth to the mids and increases amount of midbass...- FrostIK

My SE5 is at Grzegorz lab again. Sent it him for check if any malfunctions were there. I wrote here already that my SE5 sounds dull, dark and muddy. Waiting for Grzegor'z reply now.- FrostIK

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
Quote: They sound different, that's true. But I almost can't hear differences between players and cables using 8X, It's hard to separate music instruments from orchestra. And also 8x does not have such clarity and accuracy as top CIEM's (NT6 and Miracle). I think 8x has lower resolution...- FrostIK

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
Quote: Well, I compared it to Hidition NT6 and UM Miracle and was not really impressed by 8X. Just a mid level CIEM as for me. What CIEM's did you compare with 8X?- FrostIK

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Sad you cannot sell SE5 if you don't like it because no one can reshell it in silicon with 5 sound tubes. And reshell by Grzegorz costs 50% of CIEM price as far as I remember. That's why it's laying on my shelf for almost a year without usage :)- FrostIK

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: That's sad. I almost do not listen to SE5 since I bought it almost a year ago. I always feel like someone stole my cymbals. Now I sent my NT6 for reshell and have to return to SE5. Trying different cables and players without result. May be I should play with equalizer now :) ...- FrostIK

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: If IEM plays frequency 18,5 KHz when you try test signal, that does not mean you will hear that frequency when you listen to music. Because different frequencies mask each other. That means if IEM has a lot of bass, the high must be equalized to sound louder. Test signal -...- FrostIK

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: That test programs usually show nothing because different frequencies mask each other. I mean if IEM has a lot of sub bass, it will affect vocal and cimbals. And so on. The only way to test IEM is listening to the music but not test signals....- FrostIK

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Quote: I'm to lazy to change it, sorry for that :) I sent mine to Grzegorz for check and reshell (bad fit). Now my SE5 looks different - black translucent. But the lack of high stayed.- FrostIK
