Anyone know the size of the Shure SE215 tips?
Looking to get some comply tips, trying to figure out what size I need. I use the middle sized tips that came with the headphones... Anyone have exact measurements?- AaronAnderson

I miss "albums"... You know, this thing that had 30 to 50 minutes of music that you played from start to finish... What are some of your best sounding favorites?

I could have done a better job of what I was looking for. Excellent sounding "albums" or "records" that are good to listen to the entire way through. MorbidToaster got it right. More!- AaronAnderson

Quote: This is why the music industry hated (hates?) iTunes so much. It allowed you and me to go buy the one good track for 99 cents, instead of buying a 15 or 18 dollar CD.- AaronAnderson

I'm not that old and I miss the concept of playing a record, or an album, from start all the way to the finish. Not the new pop stuff that has one or two tracks produced by some overpaid individual. What are some of your favorite (and best sounding) albums you like to listen to? ...- AaronAnderson

Reply to review by 'aaronanderson' on item 'AKG K 550'
I listened to these at least 6 different times at Best Buy. Used their equipment, use some of my portable gear. I had the same first-impression as you. Glad I'm not crazy. These aren't for me.- AaronAnderson

A Sensational, Fantastic, And Simply Amazing New Binaural Album By Chesky!
What am I missing? I've got some decent equipment and lots of appreciation for stuff that sounds great.... This feels like some rubbish stuff recorded in big fancy halls and someone actually bothered to do some left/right separation.- AaronAnderson

Help an overwhelmed guy choose a 3.5mm connector and some headphone cable
I want to replace the coiled cable on a pair of Sennheiser HD280's I am subject to your run of the mill information overload! I just want some nice low(er) weight cable and a 3.5mm connector. I'm perfectly capable of soldering the connections/heatshrink/braid etc. I'd like...- AaronAnderson

AKG 550, Sennheiser HD598, or AKQ Q701
I gave the 550 a second shot today. I really like them. I listened to all of the music that was built into the display and everything sounded great. Stuff from my ipod/e7 still sounded kind of harsh; but that could have just been them dicking with the inputs. Again, nobody around to pull the...- AaronAnderson

AKG 550, Sennheiser HD598, or AKQ Q701

Anyone work at Best Buy (Magnolia section) or been to this area lately and listened to the cans?
Thanks to everyone who's commented! @tdockweiler - I've got a pair of the HD280 Pro's. I've had them for....12 or 14 years maybe? I recently did the sticky tack mod. They're pretty nice cans for the price. I think you can find them for 79 bucks on newegg. My only gripe about them is that they...- AaronAnderson

Anyone work at Best Buy (Magnolia section) or been to this area lately and listened to the cans?
I was there close to closing time and couldn't find anyone to help me. I think I'll go back tomorrow during the day and ask if they'll remove the headphones from the demo unit thing. I'm guess that they have things cranked up to sound impressive to people who are mostly ignorant about hifi.- AaronAnderson

I went in to check out some AKG550's and Sennheiser HD598's - Both of which they have attached to this wall mount listening station with 6 or 8 total headphones. You can plug in your own audio source, so I brought my iPhone and FIIO E7 along for the ride. Everything sounded...- AaronAnderson

AKG 550, Sennheiser HD598, or AKQ Q701
I need to go back to the best buy and give them another long listen. And perhaps beg the guy to remove them from the wall so I can plug them into my E7. Same with the Sennheiser HD598- AaronAnderson

AKG 550, Sennheiser HD598, or AKQ Q701
Trying to find a new set of fullsize headphones. I only have Best Buy as a local resource. They have a ho-hum listening station in the Magnolia Theater section. They have the AKG 550 and the Sennheiser HD598. Luckily you can plug in your own source device so I brought...- AaronAnderson

My quest..... My desire.... My trouble...
Here's a story. I've been using a pair of Sony MDREX38IP for a few years now. I'm on my third pair. First went through the washing machine, second got the wires ripped out, and the third is in my pocket. These aren't great, or expensive. 40 bucks at best buy w/ the iPhone controls on them...- AaronAnderson

What size techflex for Mogami w2893 mini quad?
This cable is .189 inches (4.8006mm) Would the 1/8th inch (3.5mm) techflex fit over this? That sounds stupid; but I know that braided stuff like that can expand a little bit. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks, AA- AaronAnderson
