Where is the contribute link?
Thanks for the responses. I've made a number of purchases from the sponsors so I guess I'm doing my part. Actually would've saved $ if I had just given Head-Fi my money :). As long as the site is doing OK, I won't worry about my paltry sum. Thanks again.- pegleg

Where is the contribute link?
Hate to bring up a 2.5 month old thread, but I can't find how to contribute monetarily to Head-Fi. I promised in one of my sales that I would contribute and will, if only I knew how. Am I just missing the link? Any info would be appreciated....Jack- pegleg

Stax SR 001 Mk II cable
Hi....My vacuum ate the plug in end of my 001 cable (don't ask, not happy with person). The pins are destroyed. Does anyone know where to buy replacement cables, ear speakers not necessary but I don't know if you can get them separately. Any info would be appreciated....Jack- pegleg

re-recable my SR60s help
Hi....I have a pair of SR60's that have been recabled with Canare Starquad. While the sound is nice, the cables are a bit too stiff for me. I'm looking for someone to re-cable the phones with original Grado cable or a more flexible after market cable. Or maybe someone can point me in the right...- pegleg

I use mine with my Mini 9 and Stax portable system. Sounds nice to me, MUCH nicer than no DAC. I have no other DAC to compare it to however.- pegleg

Buyer/Seller etiquette?
Thanks for all of the replies. Patience is one of my virtues, so I'm in no hurry to start a dispute claim (but will in due time if the situation hasn't changed). I have checked this site quite often to try and catch him online, but no luck yet. Like I said, I've sent 2 nice PM's and 1 nice email...- pegleg

Buyer/Seller etiquette?
Hi....I'm just curious as to how long you would wait to get PO'd at a seller that has not contacted you since the transaction took place. I am at over a week now and have left very nice PM's and 1 very nice email. The seller has a ton of all positive feedback here, that's why I'm hesitant to go...- pegleg

what does your head-fi name/handle mean?
Lost my leg in a motorcycle accident in '83, my brother's called me this ever since. It was his cycle, I was picking him up from the car dealer and he was on it with me. He should be calling me "my loving little bro who took the brunt of the trauma and allowed me to live my life to the fullest...- pegleg

Stax SR-001 Mark 2 System
If the ear speakers hurt, try it without the headband. The speakers form a good seal without the vise like grip of the headband (slowly stretching or bending the band over time reduces/eliminates this). However, in my experience, this works best when being still as the speakers are not very...- pegleg

USB DAC need recommendations
I'm very happy with my Fubar II from Firestone Audio (via a fellow Head-Fier). I use it with my TA 10.1 amp / PSB Alpha's for computer speakers and switch over to the F II and Headamp AE-1 for phones. It's definitely worth checking out. Just my .02- pegleg

Would this work? (laptop>Fubar II>TA 10.1>speakers)
Hey....Thanks for all of the info. I couldn't see why it wouldn't work, but I just couldn't picture it in my head. As far as the AE-1, I would only use that with the DAC if the two could mate via RCA out on the Fubar and RCA in on the AE-1. Would that work? That way I can keep the TA amp at home...- pegleg

Would this work? (laptop>Fubar II>TA 10.1>speakers)
Hi....I can't seem to wrap my brain around this one. I have an E1705 notebook on the way and I was wondering if this would work for a home based 2 channel setup. E1705 > USB cable > Fubar II > RCA IC > Trends Audio 10.1 amp > speakers ? I already will have the laptop, cables, speakers and...- pegleg
