Best keyboards for gaming!
Quote: I've heard that a lot but I've had fairly good luck with them. I have had a key "stick" on my Blackwidow a few times but it happens so rarely I usually forget about it. I have an original Naga mouse that saw years of abuse before I quit playing WoW that's held up quite well...- AltairDusk

2013 Astro Mixamp w/modmic or Zalman
According to their site that one comes with a PC Headset Y adaptor so it should work just like my wireless mixamp does. You plug the Y adaptor into the mixamp and that gives you a jack for the headphones and a jack for the mic. I've used the Zalman and the modmic for gaming, if you're trying...- AltairDusk

Best keyboards for gaming!
Once you get a mechanical keyboard you can't go back (at least I can't). Right now I use a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate on my gaming desktop and a WASD with Cherry MX Browns and O-rings on my work PC (to avoid pissing off everyone else in the office with the noise). Seriously considering...- AltairDusk

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Not having the greatest of nights plus the headband pad fell off my Ultrasone HFI-2400's. Some Nightwish through the HD-555's is helping me fix the mood but I can't wait to listen to Imaginaerum on the M-100. (Yes, feeble attempt to remain on topic I know, I'm sorry. May have had one too...- AltairDusk

I think everyone needs to put some good music on and relax a little. They'll ship when they ship, Val opened up first run orders to us with no promised delivery date and extras to boot. He's still got a lot to do and I doubt hounding him about dates is helping.- AltairDusk

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Quote: Coming at it from a gaming angle I've tried a lot of headsets and found the AntLion ModMic (add on boom mic) to work very well. I personally like it much better than the Zalman clip on mic which is often recommended on various forums. The Razer Carcharias actually has a very...- AltairDusk

Quote: Hmm... you make a good point. Hopefully this doesn't make things hard on Val / V-MODA. I already ordered so I'm going to hope this was intended and Val just hadn't had a chance to tell us yet, if not and my order needs to be cancelled or amended I'll understand.- AltairDusk

Ultrasone Pro 2900 Thread
The coiled cable ended up being the perfect length for using at my desk at home, not far enough to force it to stretch. I usually just end up swapping that cable between the 2900 and the 2400 depending which I want to use (The HFI 2400 is my gaming headset. I couldn't bear to stick the modmic...- AltairDusk

Quote: I can personally vouch for the test drive guarantee being quite painless. They were very good about handling my M-80 return and I got the refund quickly (still miss those some but it seems that my ears are the wrong shape for any on-ears to stay comfortable for long). Quote: It was never officially revealed what it was running on. That it was not shown during Sony's conference makes it more likely it wasn't on PS3 (they only show games running on the PS3 at their own conference). Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)
Quote: I agree the PRO 2900 is definitely more harsh/aggressive than the HFI 2400 (I have them both), I don't find it painfully bright or gratingly harsh for my own tastes though. I mainly use the 2900 for all day listening at work with a FiiO e17 and the 2400 has become my go-to PC...- AltairDusk

I'm very interested to see what comes out of John Carmack's experimental head mounted 3d setup, from accounts I've seen it could be revolutionary. http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/725013/hands-on-with-oculus-rift-john-carmacks-virtual-reality-goggles/ Quote: I beg to differ...- AltairDusk
