It supports wma and wav in as much as SonicStage will recognise them and convert the files to Atrac. The NW-HD3 only supports MP3 and Atrac - take a look at the back of your player. The info on Amazon is a bit misleading.

The RM-MC35ELK works with the HD-NW series, but I don't believe you can access the Menu and Mode functions with this.

It does tell you to connect the mains adapter, but it still transfers, even with that message on the screen.

To clear up a couple of concerns raised earlier in this thread, I've had my NW-HD3 for a few days now and it certainly does remember the last position (song / album) if you press the left button instead of Mode, and even with MP3s it seems pretty gapless to me. Mavis mentioned in the review that the backlight isn't very bright, making the screen difficult to read. Is the blue-lit screen on the other coloured models any brighter?
