Q701 sounds amazing out of the Xonar essence STX. i dunno why some post say the amp on the xonar sucks... i mean they do get improved with it, and the DAC on the STX is really good. my old panasonic has really good amp, but the one on the STX is just more "PURE" and clean without any hissing...

tips on cleaning the Q701 pads ? they are like dust magnet ! really hard to clean it by just swiping with a towl or something, what would you seggest ? also do the Q701 have leather pads ? why there is no 3rd party pads to buy for them ? or i am missing something ? paying 100$ for pads is just...

hey guys :)  i want to buy the xonar stx as an sound card + decent amp for my Q701. i now use crappy onboard sound card of VIA chipset, and plug it to an 1993 stereo system. it does improve the fullness of the Q701 and the bass a bit, but i guess its not the perfect sulotion \card.   so...
