Looks like hidition upgraded their tuning cuz mine was sharper/brighter than this. I have to say, it looks incredibly linear, truly a ultimate reference CIEM, I don't think I have seen any CIEM that is as accurate as this. 

EM32 sounds more neutral, with greater resolution and soundstage a bit more detailed. EM6 is thicker and warmer, slightly more dynamic. Both have killer bass.

To my ears, LCD 2 sounds drier compared to SE5 Ref or Ult. LCD 2's upper treble presence is not as clean as LCD 3's, so it doesn't have the liquidity of LCD 3 or SE5. In terms of brightness, yeah I would agree that both LCD 2 and LCD 3 sound a bit brighter and more transparent compared to SE5...

Don't think so, I think it's just your brain got used to the sound, it might take sometime to adjust back :)

Am I the only one that have this problem with AK380?    It sounds very meaty and dull right after I switch on the device, then the sound opens up and goes back to its normal performance after some running time.

I am glad you enjoyed the NT6, tamed your desire for a while. :)    Ult to my ears is better than ref for sure, it's a lot more neutral, accurate and clean. The imaging is more focused and overall more refined. It is a superb complement for NT6. Did that untamed your fire again sotos? :p

I have both. But I don't listen to ref any more.    So you gave up on the solar or mentor? :)

He explained the difference of se5 ref vs NT6 in the review (1st page) pretty clearly.    They are totally different sounding monitors.

Actually there is some difference, Ult has almost 10 db increase over 6-8k Hz if the measurement is accurate enough.

Always follow the heart, but you gonna recheck again what your heart really want :p

The red one for my ear shape. it leaves some air and space between my ear canal, iem and the actual tip. so the soundstage is the largest without losing a lot of bass and warmth.   you might want to try a size that doesn't squeeze a lot in your ear, the best fit is the one that can just hang...

As I said it before, solar and Galaxy are completely different sounding iems, so there is definitely room for both in your collection. Galaxy's technical ability is superior, doesn't mean you will like the tone. Actually on the first listen, I thought Galaxy was ok, and solar was lovely! Only...
