Hello I am planning on buying the ATH - M50 headphones and I cannot decide if there would be a significant  increase in sound quality for it to be worth it to buy an amp.    Price - Preferably under $100 Connectivity - Should be able to plug into an outlet (if not i guess thats OK) Size...

I do not have, nor want to buy an amp. Would the HD25s still be better than the ATH M50 if both were unamped

So I have heard great things about grado for rock and i have heard great things about the ATH - M50 for techno. HOWEVER I have also heard that both headphones cannot play other genres well. I love both genres and cannot go for one without the other.     Which brings me to the question, is...
