In my experience, all good music sounds better the second time, and even better the third time. So I listen to new music at least 6 times before I make a decision I like it or not.

This decade certainly has fewer iconic rock bands. I don't think I can name a single band which rose to prominence this decade has attained that kind of stardom, especially post '05.

I had the chance at this year's Summer Sonic, but I opted instead for Sonic Youth / The Flaming Lips. I'll keep them on my radar and hopefully they will come to Japan again as a solo act.

I was first heard MUSE from MTV playing "New Born", which I bought the single promptly . So MUSE had exposure in Japan for a decade. Must be a US thing that it wasn't known until recently?

I been using this for several years now, centered around EAC. Haven't searched for anything better... For gracenote access, player from vuplayer.com, as freedb on EAC sucks for Japanese and other non-english albums. For ripping, EAC with mareo. For Encoding, LAME -V1 and Flac.

I don't think anyone considers it a "great" album. I do like "Only" and love "Right where it belongs" though

Recently, I don't really get Grizzly Bear. I've even went to see them live. They weren't bad, but not especially memorable for me either.
