@Kukuk I'm playing DD2 as well. About 12-13 hours in. I also played the original on PS3 and then later on PC. I got exactly what I was expecting and I love it. I'm not having any performance issues. I'd love to be running stable at 120fps but I'm playing at 4K, all settings on and maxed...- Amish

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
Yeah, as I have said in an earlier post, if you listen at low volume, then you may or may not hear a difference. I like my music loud. The stock system starts to break up at the volume I listen to but on a better amp, I can go louder than i can stand and the SQ is always clean and clear.- Amish

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
With the stock amp I felt that it was lacking power. That alone was my biggest complaint about the stock system. With a better amp, the headphones can be driven much better. They get louder and remain clean sounding. With the 95x that was not the case. I also hear more detail due to this. Once...- Amish

@Svperstar I agree with your friend that buying a STAX head-speakers is the way to go but I do own the 95x as well and it does work much better with a quality amp and adapter. Your friend is wrong on that point.- Amish

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
@matts19 You are asking for a warm and bassy sound? I doubt you'll find it without tubes and a bunch of money. The closest would be a STAX SRM-T1 but it lacks the bassy I think and it lacks the power to really drive the electrostatic ear speakers. I've owned it and though it sounds great, it...- Amish

Are you a console or PC gamer?
I play both but I do prefer PC overall. I have a dedicated VR PC, my main gaming PC, and two others as well as a PS2, PS3, PS4, PS4 Pro, 2DS, Wii U, OLED Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. So yeah I like them all but PC is where my heart is.- Amish

The Koss ESP950 thread (ESP owners, please contribute! :)
The Koss is great as a cheap alternative to STAX. With stock pads, they don't do so well but as I have said, a good set of custom pads and they sound so much better. A great entry into electrostatic as long as you get a better amp. The stock amp is just not good enough. All of that said, Koss...- Amish

@KillerQ I am currently running a WTB ad for this amp. I already own a lot of tubes for this amp so I suppose it will depend on your price but I'm a serious buyer for sure. Hit me up with details via PM.- Amish

Are you a musician?
I play bass guitar for fun and just for me. I was under a lot of pressure as a child to learn an instrument but being the little rebel I was I fought against it for many years. Not at all. I've been around music and musicians most of my life. Some of my family (grandfather, Uncle, Mother, and...- Amish

MHDT Labs: R-2R NOS Tube DACs
I still consider my Pagoda the best DAC I have owned. Though it has been moved out of my headphone system to support my 2-channel speaker system. My w4s DAC feeds my cans now. I guess you can say the Pagoda got promoted.- Amish

How to connect multiple headphone amps to system
I own a line router and that alone works very well but for the past couple of years, I have been just using my preamp by w4s. I currently run 3 amps through it and have run 5 at one point. So find a line router, passive or powered preamp. Rereading your post though, you might just want to add...- Amish
