iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
I've already order my DX100, but not from toxic-caves unfortunately :(, also I've made a research through their website but I've found nothing from ibasso.. do you need to make a special request to them, or what? I've already read that the 1.1.7 firmware is the best for the most, so I...- AudioHeadHZ

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
Quote: Ok, but, for what I've understood, since it has a line out and not a line in, I cannot use it as DAC for my crappy notebook sound card, but only for outputting its sound on another device; or I've missed something? No, that this is a major problem, since actually I'm more...- AudioHeadHZ

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
I've decided to buy this unit as well but before I need to know which are the best suggestions from you for using this DAP. I mean if it's better to install some apps on it, which may be the best case for it (yeah, I've read about the HDP-R10, but is it really the best solution?) and all...- AudioHeadHZ

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
So, for what i've understood, the DX100 cannot work in any way as external DAC; since it don't have the usb receiver chip, right? Or no one know that for sure? @Spock76591 The iBasso have answered to you that the DX100, wont function as external DAC, no? But have they also said, if it...- AudioHeadHZ

I'm interested in the DX100 too, but for what i've heard it cannot be used as an external DAC as the Hifiman ones, right? And implementing this feature wont be possible even with a firmware upgrade/mod, no? Because this, for me, would be really a downside; i mean 699$ or more, and cannot even...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
They can be good, in general, but they are simply too much for the xonar essence. If you use them in place of the normal ones, they simply kill the audiocard; and this means that they decrease the volume much more, instead of amplifying it.- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
@PurpleAngel I've bought the AD797 op-amps, and they are not an improvement at all. In fact they are completely an overkill for the xonar essence; and i had to replace them with the default ones... Why haven't you tell me this part in your suggestion? If you wasn't knowing that for...- AudioHeadHZ

The Opamp thread
Indeed, since i'm in Europe, the cost it's surely less affordable... But i've found only this reseller http://www.display.nl/ic-op-amp-uln-dil-8-ad797anz (actually i'm in Belgium), and i don't know if is a good and/or recommended one. Else, did you have recommendations on a good store around here?- AudioHeadHZ

The Opamp thread
Hi, I want to know if someone already know this online store: http://components.arrow.com/, and, if yes, if it's a reliable and/or recommended one; or if you have some suggestions on where i can buy 3 AD797ANZ op-amps (for the xonar essence). Thanks- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
Yes, indeed. Do you have then, from your own experience, suggestions on a store that you know is both (as possible) economic and reliable? I think that the tg h54 c have almost the same quality of the microphone you have cited, and it's more comfortable, because you can wear it around the...- AudioHeadHZ

@rrahman Then the dt880/250 + tg h54 c, remain the best choices for me, right? @PurpleAngel Is that online store reliable or, maybe, not?- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
Yeah, i know that the question is more complex... but, for what i've understood, the open headphones have (generally) a more opened and wide type of sound, while the closed one, have a more enclosed and focused sound type. And i appreciate more the first qualities... My budget for headphone +...- AudioHeadHZ

Ok, I've found the AD797, but i've seen that there are, mainly, 3 different models: AD797ARZ, AD797BRZ and AD797ANZ; which one i should choose? Yes, they seems to be more comfortable, but i don't think that they will produce any heating in less; since they are closed, and the material of the...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
That's why i was asking it to you. Even i think that is impossible for the sound to leak through the headphone, if there isn't any source of sound. But since you in your previous post have mentioned it again, (even if i've said before that "normally i don't listen music when i use the...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
It's true that the chords come all together, instead of being separated, homever there are always two separate connection to plug into the audiocard, as with the dt880 + tg h54c. So, some cable-fuss in less, but not all this ease in more, in my opinion... The only more serious problem could be...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
2 pairs? I can do even that, but: 1) I must pay quite more, like: if i buy the dt880/250 with the tg h54c, it's 200 (more or less) +139=339. Otherwise, if i buy the mmx300 + dt880/250, i must pay, 250+200=450. So, 111€ of difference; which is not that low... 2) I must have this headsets...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
So, considering, that the tg h54c is better than the ME-3, and having seen some images of this mic; it seems that even this one can be weared with most headphones... . So maybe the combination of dt880/250 and the tg h54c, is the best solution? Or, maybe, even this mic can't be used in...- AudioHeadHZ

Quote: Then you suggest an dt770 with the tg h54c integrated... But for what i can see the ME-3 microphone can be adapted with any other headphones, right? And propably is better than the tg h54c. Then what about the dt880/ME-3 combination? I've read that the dt880...- AudioHeadHZ

Very good headphones with an integrate microphone
Hi, I want to know which are the 'best' headphones with a very good audio reproduction (at least as the HD 595) and a more precise and clear, as possible, integrated microphone; considering that my pc audiocard is the asus xonar essence. 1) I use the headphones mostly for music...- AudioHeadHZ

Best in-ear isolating headphones in my case between Shure SE535, Westone 3 and EarSonics SM3
Quote: Yes it's a little better, in my experience; but of course you will not able to tell difference at the first time (to perceive the difference I must do some confrontations with the 'only-16-bit track' vs the 'semi-24-bit track' with an high volume setting). Homever of course it...- AudioHeadHZ

Thanks for the clarification music_4321... but I've one more question. If I should decide to order the UM3X in which way I can be sure that I've a pair of fully working Westone UM3X new version? Because for what I've understand you have had a lot of problems with Westone... . So...- AudioHeadHZ

Best in-ear isolating headphones in my case between Shure SE535, Westone 3 and EarSonics SM3
Quote: One more point for the SM3 then... Is possible to play the 24-bit FLAC tracks with Rockbox... the particular thing is the possibility to activate the dithering which should be, for what I know, an sort of optimized downsampling so that in someway the 24-bit tracks...- AudioHeadHZ
