Most of the people on here like the 880/600 over the 990/600...Now the people in this thread say the 990 is better, what's the deal?

But I heard without a decent AMP the 990s will suffer...I'll be running the headphones from my Xonar Essence....I don't know

Or should I prehaps look at something else? I've just been reading reviews on both companies and headphones, and came to the conclusion that they are both right for me, but I must choose one. I don't know though, I think I'm going to need some suggestions.

I'm debating between the AH-D2000 and DT880 600 ohm. Which would you go with?   I'm more of an all around listener, I like deep, smooth and dominating bass, sharp trebles, excellent mids, and excelling detail.

is there better closed headphones i can look at?

I'm currently auditioning the D7000 and SR325is. I've been doing my research on here and it seems like people are in favor of the SR225i as it's commonly referred to as "Grado's sweet spot." I'm not going to front, but I love the D7000, however, for some eccentric reason, I keep going back to...

finally people who have them are starting to show up! why are they rarely talked about in this field? just because they're frequently put side by side with beats? jeez

I figured to start a thread and gather people's opinions and thoughts on these since there isn't much talk about them on here.   I actually gave them an audition yesterday and was actually pretty impressed. Why aren't these frequently talked about or recommended?  ...

Oh yeah, big time. It's more airy now, bigger sound stage, and more controlled bass. It's amazing the difference these make.   Quote:

@bbophead   I've looked around the forums and didn't find much for Grados except for mods which I really don't want to do because I like the headphones the way they are. Therefore, I'll give the G-Cush a try today, thanks for your help.

So I got the 325is earlier and have been wearing them for a few hours on end, with little breaks in between and I really don't think they are that uncomfortable as many people say. The only thing is, the middle is very hard and when it's on my ears for a few hours, it tends to press hard enough...

I'm highly considering the G-Cush ear pads because I just love bigger ear pads, especially ones that completely cover my ears.   Any other takers with a word on the 325is? Grado fans perhaps?
