To get this thread back on topic...   My Dad when trying out my HE-400s, having never heard HiFi headphones before: "It's like the first time I ever saw an HDTV. I never knew how much detail I was missing until it was in my face."

Just started trying out my HE-400's. I'm blown away by how incredible this sounds. Unbelievable.   A huge huge huge step up from the Grado SR80is, and Shure SRH440s. Music is giving me goosebumps again!

Yeah, I tried it with 3 different computers. Same thing on all. I'll send it in for a warranty replacement.

Got my replacement Magni today, but now the Modi seems to be faulty?!? It has horrible noise, and when music plays it sounds like the music is alien, and full of noise. Incredibly strange. I'm going to leave it unplugged from USB for a few hours, but I think I'm pretty unlucky here... Anyone...

I would say that it sounds like something fried. I would try keeping it unplugged from any power source for a few hours, and then trying it again. Sorry man.   -Edit- You could also try using a different USB port.
