thanks for the replies, i kept looking stuff up ad i ended up using a 12v 12Ahr lawnmower battery, its wired to a male plug for the amp and a female plug that is on the outside of the case for recharging.  I have used it for about 4-5 hours with ought a recharge of any kind and its still going...

I want to try my hand building a home server for fairly cheep.  My main goal is just play around with servers and get some hands on experience.  My girlfriend wants to use it  to host some web projects, so i figured kill 2 birds with one stone and have fun and learn a thing or 2 while doing it...

is there a digital out that has an audio plug? it doesnt have to be supper small or anything, its just that im trying to build a phone dock, and if the audio out was on the bottom it would be ok but i dont want a wire running out of the phone lol

ya im more or less the same, that's kind of why i choose the phone an all because there isnt a bunch of extra stuff to worry about lol. and if i wasn't on these strong pain meds when the phone came in i probably would have noticed it sooner. but ya ill post back after a day or 2

i had the tap to send stuff on all the time, i never new about that so ill see how much that helps with the battery

I am in a very similar situation. I'm getting my HE-400 in the next 2 weeks.  right now i have a yulong u100 (nice $225 usb dac/amp combo, check out the review ), which honestly I really like and i will try them out with the yulong for a little while before I actually jump on anything.  however...

I seem to see a bunch or people using HE-500s with this, what about HE-400? I'm picking up a pair of HE-400s soon and i also kind of want to replace my yulong u100 with one of these paired with an HRT music streamer II.  anyone have any advice on that, do you think it would be a worth while...
