think you could prob send it back then.. cables are removable if i am not wrong. Only seen them once. So if it is just the cables you can get a new one if you are unable to wait :)   or maybe the cables are just coming out? haha

have sold my lcd2+lyr+bitfrost and went to this     cant say its better but i am enjoying it more. Arcam dac -> cambridge audio amp azur or something-> tannoy DC6   really miss the intimate feeling you get from headphones now and then

you could try the shure line. 425 or 535. more mid centric earphones. Seems like what you like. Smooth highs and decent bass :)

went to look for a cheap headphone stand but they are all over $50 so made a $4 one temporally first... New tubes too! cheap tube but first time changing tubes and quite amazed by the difference too :)

the d2000 leak through the vents between the cup and the frame not really at the pads.

i think they are not that bad. I use them to study at libraries and my friends across the table cant hear anything.   i guess unless your office is completely silent that would be an issue.   another earphone i thought had nice soundstage and isolate well are the dt770 and the akg 272...

they are over ears so they are pretty big , unless u are carrying a bag , bringing it around would be troublesome. They are built like tanks so u can just throw it inside.   i think they have a 30 Ohm version that does not need an amp?   i had the dt770 pro and they block out sufficient...

i have decided to send it back.. theres a leak in the left side and the iem in general does not isolate well at all..    will having a longer stem provide better isolation? because i am using it for playing drums

I have to press my custom, applying pressure if I wanted it to isolate more. And by more I mean there is a sufficient difference. After reshelling, they isolate less than comply too. as this is my first custom, I'm unsure of how he should sound Btw its from UM Thanks.. W

i'd go with the dt770... big soundstage and decent bass.. the m50 sound very congested so they are not very good for games.

The dt770 are pretty good. Comfortable and I use them for drums so isolation should be good too :)

Dt770? they are really confortable and blocks out enough sound for me to play drums

if u thought high end cans were 300.. U must be new :) sorry for your wallet too :) akgs are pretty decent.. i would recommend the 701 for jazz.. as for headphones around 300 what about the denons d2000?? They are very fun sounding cans with emphasis on the bass and treble.good soundstage. Good...

takes a while to get use to the dark sound sig.. because of their recessed highs it affects the soundstage too.. from the headphones u owned ( except the hd650 ) they are all pretty bright headphones and changing to a darker sounding one might cause u to find the lcd2 lifeless in a way..   i...
