I can confirm that the iPad Mini ->CCK Lightning -> Dr Bott T3 hub -> NuForce HDP and that the iPad Mini ->CCK Lightning -> Dr Bott T3 hub -> AudioQuest DragonFly works perfectly.

Tapatalk is a good forum reader. There's two versions, one universial for both iPad and iPhone, and one "HD" version for iPad only. I'm using the HD version, it works... :wink:

I just installed Tapatalk HD on my iPad. It looks promising. Unfortunately it doesn't support the subscribed threads, but it beats the constant crashing :blush:

I'm using my HDP with a pair of K701. I like it a lot and would recommend that combination to anyone who's after detail, clarity, transparency and neutrality. The bass is well defined without being either thin or boomy.

Instead of new cans I would swap the m-stage for a Heed CanAmp. It makes the K701 sound warmer and musical without loosing out on clarity and head stage

These crashes has nothing to do with Apple. I suspect the Google ads is the culprit...

I think they loud enough strait from iPad/iPhone/iPod. I've compared them straight from i-device and via a amp...not that big of a difference in SQ to my ears...

I've had my pair of K-550 for about a week, I really like them. They are a good alternative to those times when I can't use my K-701 because of their sound leakage. Build quality is really good, value for money? Yes, my money is well spent!

I'm no good at describing SQ, do a search there's plenty of good reviews both in this forum and elsewhere ;) But to put it in a few words: they are a top tier IEM, among the best out there for reasonable money...
