ZMF Verite Open
Does Zach ever do any other colour leather? Some aged brown leather with blackwood and brass metal grills would work wonders...kinda like my 5 year old when he's after chocolate...wonders!- zeleknot

ZMF Vérité and aeolus - GIVEAWAY! & Pre Order starts November 16th
Hi Zach, I hope I don't exclude myself out of the competition by asking this 'cause I mean nothing ill by it...I was wondering about the use of beryllium on your drivers. Its a rather hazardous material, so I was wondering if you have any special protocol during assembly? Or were there any...- zeleknot

Headphone Measurements: Positioning The Headphone For Measurement
Hi First let me say wonderfully presented and educational. I do have some concerns or maybe suggestions to engineers of phantoms. I am a dosimetrist in radiophysics and I work with a lot of different phantoms and measuring equipment (mostly anthropomorphic phantoms and water phantoms for QA and... -
Meet the Sennheiser HD 820
Still I can't stop thinking if that chamber fills with dust (remember mobile phones from the past with pocket dust between glass and screen), 'cause it can't be airtight and with moving parts inside I'm almost sure it will produce some if not just let it in from the outside?- zeleknot

Meet the Sennheiser HD 820
My bad...it's indeed concave, still a lens would have looked nicer but wouldn't have had the same acoustic properties.- zeleknot

Meet the Sennheiser HD 820
Damn...I thought the glass was "dome" shaped, like a lens on a camera...too bad, would have looked way better, now looks kind of cheaper with just a flat piece of glass?!- zeleknot

Meet the Sennheiser HD 820
Honestly these look gorgeous, my only question and concern at the same time (design wise) is about the glass chamber...with time and use that space will most likely develop or let through some fine particles of dust, and with glass most likely non removable, it will be impossible to clean...dust...- zeleknot

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
Hi Jason Any news on the issue I have with ripping CDs with the screen turned off? I ripped over 30CDs by now and the issue remains, if I turn off the screen while ripping and then turn it back on to see the progress, sometimes the ripping stops. If the screen is always on it rips fine but Kann...- zeleknot

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
HI...thanks for the quick response...Yes I have the latest firmware, and honestly it's ripping CDs without any problems, BUT only if the screen is turned on! The downside of that is that it can cause "burn in" on the LCD screen and the player also gets really hot if the screen is ON longer time...- zeleknot

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
Hope someone can help me out here?...I just got the Kann with the new CD ripper MKII and the weird thing that happens is if I rip CDs with the screen turned "off" the ripping stops after a certain amount of time (different every time), and while I thought this is due to the Kann turning itself...- zeleknot

ZMF Auteur Thread
Good eye! The detail on that picture that struck me the most was the grain flows in the same line as the "arm" and the connector...touches like that inspire the designer in me. I zoomed the picture as much as possible and the wood really looks flawlessly finished...wonder how some age or wear...- zeleknot
