CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
You can actually use this DAC for FM brocading Kidding aside, I like when people write how they perceive music and what they feel when listening to music. What I dont like is statement describing ex. position of instruments, vocals e.t.c. Were you there when recording was made? Do you...- zare

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Maybe its time to invest in automatic voltage stabilizer. Friend of my has similar issues after utility company "upgraded" infrastructure in his neighborhood. After a surge, he lost everything from fridge/TV to dimmers and power switches. Audio damage: $300 repair bill for two of his Monster...- zare

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Personally, cannot stand the steps on the DACT(not enough). Can never adjust the volume to my liking. In my book RK50 is the king. P.S. I had DACT on GSX MK2- zare

Bricasti M1 DAC impressions.
No, that filter will do nothing for DSD. I was listening to some redbook and hi-res material also last night. The filer is only be effective up to 96K PCM. For redbook, both DAC's are performing very good. Slight edge for M1 for details. D1 is a bit more laid back.- zare

I think if you got M1 for DSD you might be missing a lot. TotalDac just wiped the floor with M1, and that coming from M1 owner. M1 filer was set in minimum0 and D1 treble fir was on.- zare

Also I had their preamp Nº326S on loan and it sounded great. Also very flexible. Today got the M1 to compare with TotalDac, but will wait for the XLR switch to come.- zare

I have some dsd files in my collection. I did not care much about them until I played one on D1. Very pleasant surprise. Did you guys find that also, or it was the single malt- zare

Well, for me this was great update, not a cheep one thou. As you already know , the beauty of BHSE is honesty. I was going to roll some tubes, but know I don't think I have to.- zare
