      Success!!  That soldering was stressful! : ) Thanks TrollDragon for all you advice in getting this sorted..really appreciated!   The new driver does sound a bit different (restrained, maybe 10% quieter) than the other though....could it just need some "burn in" time?

      I've just (finally!) received a replacement DT880 driver.  However, i need a replacement driver for the LEFT can, it looks like they've sent me a replacement driver for the RIGHT (the red pen mark is on the opposite terminal to my blown LEFT driver).   Are the left/right drivers physically...

    Hi TrollDragon - Thanks for the help, much appreciated!   I read through those threads and checked the voicecoil wires (the two hair thin wires that goto the driver?) - They both appear to be OK between the tabs to the point where they go into the driver.  But i get no current passing...

    Reving a silent DT880 driver?

    Has anyone successfully revived a DT880 driver that's gone silent?   The left channel on my DT880 started cutting out a few days ago - No sound degradation, the left channel went completely silent and then would come back perfectly for 30 minutes or so.  This happened about 5 times but now...
