Advice needed for warmer but still very detailed hp
I appreciate the input. After spending some time with my old Pioneer SE-A1000 lately I've decided to just use them for now and liquidate the rest. I need the money right now. Honestly I find them just as satisfying as the others (was kind of a revelation for me) so they're gonna fill the role of...- thekrautdog

Thank you for the input I appreciate it. I have another equipment update. *sigh* this is all actually kind of embarrassing. My Topping E30 DAC was the first thing I thought had dieda couple years ago, so that went on a shelf. I was then using my V60 into my Geshelli amp, 3.5 to 3.5. Then that...- thekrautdog

Just want to update this thread because my Geshelli Archel 2 Pro has come back to life (Idk I must've had something loose in the wiring chain before, or something screwy in my source not recognizing it). ANYWAY that is the amp I will be using. I know already it has plenty of power for my needs...- thekrautdog

Advice needed for warmer but still very detailed hp
I appreciate the input I'm getting very much. Yeah when I said upper mids I wasn't meaning in a specific kHz range or overly technical sense, more like I feel like I'm getting too much pressure from the upper register (if that's even the right way to say it) and so I just kind of simply...- thekrautdog

Yessir I think that's maybe what happened here, I was referring to the drop HP, but all info is good. Drop sure did cause confusion with the XX dealio. Thx guys👍- thekrautdog

Thank you👍 You're not differentiating between the 650 and 6xx are you? By all accounts I've seen they are identical correct?- thekrautdog

Thanks for all the input guys. Just FYI I know I said what I said but I don't think I should get too far away from the $200+ -ish pricepoint. Maybe if I set $300 as the very top limit. I'll pull the "I'm on a fixed income"...it pretty much applies to everyone it's just that mine is fixed at a...- thekrautdog

Wow, that seems to be a real break in their trend for AT to make a 470 Ohm HP, though admittedly I am not very current on things. Great food for thought, my thanks to both of you!- thekrautdog

Advice needed for warmer but still very detailed hp
Hey everyone, just looking for some expert advice. The 2 best headphones I own currently are the Beyer Amiron Home and Hifiman HE4XX. The thing is idk if I'm especially treble/high-mid sensitive but I can't seem to get away from an oppressive weariness from the upper part of the sound range...- thekrautdog

23 Ohm Resistor Mod
Guys can someone please post a link to whatever I would need to do, buy, etc regarding the 23 ohm resister mod? When I search I seem to only come up with radio shack-looking wire resisters that I can't believe are what is actually being discussed. I'm picturing more of a short inline cable...- thekrautdog

The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)
Unbelievable. After the appropriate amount of research on the Yamahas after reading the above post, I'm all set to come back here and say "You got me. Purchased." and they're all gone. Everywhere. At least at that price. I hate you guys. Not really.- thekrautdog

Thank you mate. Guess I should do more Xonar research, but honestly I think I realize a dedicated amp is the way to go. I'm not THAT poor that I can't just grab the Topping. Maybe hold off on the dac for a bit. I really don't want to hijack the thread so I appreciate the input very much! Edit...- thekrautdog
