Has anyone else had a "no cable" screen with the audeze plugged into an idevice running audeze app? My ipad plays music through it perfectly, but the audeze app doesn't seem to know the phones are plugged in. I cannot change eq, nor update firmware. Thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

That is not to say that they sound bad with the cipher, they sound awesome actually! I just want to try to move away from iOS, and I would get a small portable dac/amp to plug into the usb slot from my Samsung to be able to do that. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I am surprised no-one has mentioned the Yulong Audio DA8, the Audio GD NFB-27 or NFB-28 which are all combined DAC/amp setups. Are the Audio GD regarded as overkill (powerwise) for the LCD-X? Is the amp section of the DA8 not up to scratch of the conductor?

So it seems you need a PC with iriver installed to fix this library issue. I used the rebuild library database function in iriver and it's working much better now. Aif files still aren't correct in the library, but everything else is.

I have used 32Gb of the internal 128Gb (Titan). I have made sure to empty the trash after deleting songs off it so that that space is freed up.

hmm... i varied it using the mac keyboard and watched the volume db change in audiomini, still with no sound. though i cant be sure i tried all bit and frequency settings with it at 100%. What should the bit/freq settings be on or does it not matter?

The speaker icon in audio devices is there, and next to the iriver dac listing in the output devices. I am using the iriver cable which came with the unit. I have also tried both USB ports.

I have indeed selected "use this device for audio output" in audiomini. This has worked with a V-Dac in the past but not the AK120. I have a Macbook Air which only has two USB3 ports. This machine runs 10.9.2. I have fiddled around with the bit & freq settings in audio mini but i haven't tried...
