    The Cure Broadcast

The setlist is similar to the one they played at Coachella, except with more from the new album. We did get Charlotte Sometimes, though I think I'll pass on Curiosa. Nevermind the fact that I may be outta the job in the next few weeks--haha. If it were just a regular show and not a...

Best and Worst Remake of Song:

Frente's cover of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" was pretty horrible, as was Orgy's version of "Blue Monday." Guess people shouldn't cover New Order

The Cure - Never Not too impressed with the new album so far, but I've only listened to it a few times. Needs a few more spins before I can really form an opinion.

The Cure - The Cure (Impressions)

Not completely off-topic, but has anyone heard the "Lost Wishes?" I have the four tracks but they're not the highest quality (ripped from tape). Hopefully Smith will put them on the extra disc when Wish is re-released...

Awesome, glad you like it. Hopefully people will post reviews here. Personally, I'll give it at least a week before commenting, just because I like to give music a good number of spins so it can really settle in. That's just me, I guess. For example, I thought WMS was great at first, but...

The Cure - The Cure (Impressions)

Personally, the Cure had an amazing run of 3 albums in which they could do no wrong. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Disintegration, and Wish. While the latter had some severe tracklising problems, and should've dropped one or two (maybe three) tracks in favor of some vastly superior b-sides, those...

    The albums that really matter

And how can you forget the Cure's "Disintegration?" We can't forget the goths... Actually, maybe it would be more appropriate to step back a bit further and choose "Pornography." Gotta have My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" on here, and maybe Sunny Day Real Estate's "Diary." I think...

Need recs: Birthday/Fathers Day present for my dad

Give him something a little different and try to surprise him, maybe go beyond what he's used to listening to. I strongly suggest Jeff Buckley's "Grace." That album is insane. He's got an amazing pair of lungs, and his music is amazing too.

    Looking for music suggestions

I second the Doves album. Though I believe it's called "Lost Souls." In fact, I think I'll listen to it now You might also want to check out a band called "Ours."

    Please, surprise me.

Hey Bong, I first saw Cranes when they opened for the Cure on the Wish tour. At that time they hadn't yet recorded "Forever," but were playing some songs from it though. My buddy has a video tape of a Cure show where Cranes opened for them, but Alison was sick or something and couldn't sing...
