Fake Audio Technica ATH ES7's?
I can't say that I have much experience with the white models, but from the looks of them, they look suspicious. What makes me say that is mostly the rim around the cups themselves - they shouldn't be as shiny as the cups are. Still hard to tell from the pictures, but here are some of legit ones...- Squirsier

ATH-ES7 Buyer's Guide or How (and Where) to Avoid Fakes.
They look fake. The bag isn't made of pleather (cloth, grey color), the earpads look wrong and the left and right side indicators are not supposed to be shiny. I wouldn't risk it, considering these does not seem to be even his own photos!- Squirsier

Firmware upgrade for FLAC support would be great... Media GO now supports Flac, so why not the X player? :/- Squirsier

New iPod Touch 4G first impressions
Quote: Depends what your definition of "better" is ; if you want smaller files at the compromise of sound quality (tho it is debatable just how much of it you'd be able to notice), go with AAC, if you don't want any compromises sound quality-wise, go with ALAC.- Squirsier

Thoughts on "Metallic Spheres" by The Orb featuring David Gilmour?
I've been following Orb's ups and downs for almost 2 decades now (can't beat Orblivion in my book ) and this new album is a good return to form, but I found too much already used samples and sounds in Metallic Spheres to be totally original and fresh tho. Still, a nice return to form, and... -
Linkin Park's "A Thousand Suns" - this decade's "Kid A/Amnesiac"?

Linkin Park's "A Thousand Suns" - this decade's "Kid A/Amnesiac"?
Personally, I've never really listened to Radiohead, but there's what I think... Coming from Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora, completely skipping Minutes to Midnight (have not heard a song on it, was not interested) and then going straight to A Thousand Suns... I love it. Edit ... -

I have my hands ON the Sony X1000 Walkman - Impressions / Discussions
After several months of owning the X1060, I still use it exclusively as a sort of multi-CD player (only load wav files in there) and I rediscovered my Beyer DT770 Pro with it ; they sound reaallly good, best I ever heard them so far! The amp drives them just fine with volume at around 19-20 most...- Squirsier

The opposite here, been using mine more and more with the buil-in n/c earphones. Been too hot and humid this summer and I've had just about enough hearing my fan running. Not anymore :D Too hot for closed headphones!- Squirsier
