MEEaudio X7 Plus Review by mark2410
So I got these on Massdrop for the gym. Unfortunately the standard tips do not give enough bass, and the fit in the ear is not secure. So I bought medium Comply tips. Better sound for sure but very finicky in term of positioning, would often come out as I worked out. I tried the sugru approach...- Smokhee

Sugru for custom fix earphone?
I bought Sugru for something else and came across the custom IEM instructables....and thought I could use it to make the MEE audio fit and sound better. One of the main issues I had with the standard Sugru method was the loss of "coupling" on my earphone s...it was not seated tightly enough...- Smokhee

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Dang you all! I was looking for a DAC/Amp combo for my phone and computer...tried out the Apogee Groove...which was great with my HD650's but not so great with my IEM's. So I bit the bullet and ordered my Mojo today from Moon Audio. Who doesn't need a bit more mojo??- Smokhee

Apogee Groove Dac / Headphone Amp
Well, after listening for a while I decided to return my Groove. It is a great dac/amp for my HD650 but I like using my IEM's a lot, especially on the go...so I decided that I need something a bit more versatile. And the phone battery draw was just too much to deal with. So I decided to go...- Smokhee

Apogee Groove Dac / Headphone Amp
Update: hooked up my Shure SRH940s to the Groove as well as directly to the rMBP (late 2013). The SRH940 has relatively low impedance, and is made for monitoring in music studios. It is very accurate but not the best for long term listening. There was a clear difference with the Groove...- Smokhee

Apogee Groove Dac / Headphone Amp
Good news for Samsung Note Edge owners! Got the groove and an OTG from Amazon. Nervously plugged the OTG then the groove....and the lights came on! Works like a charm! The great thing about the Note is that you can buy batteries for less than 10 dollars if you wanted a long session with the...- Smokhee

The Cayin C5 portable power house.
My Cayin finally came in...only two weeks from when I ordered. I have not had time to put it through its paces but what I have heard so far has been awesome. Nice look and feel too. It does a great job with my Shure IEMs as well as my Senn HD650.- Smokhee

The Cayin C5 portable power house.
How do you have it hooked up? Through a USB DAC? Or straight out the headphone jack?- Smokhee

You guys are dangerous. My head stage Arrow has died and I can't get an answer from the maker....time for me to move on since I bought that like 4 years ago... Just bought this amp! I will pair it up with my Note 3 with a USB-OTG hooked up to a USB DAC (head stage lol), and I also have an...- Smokhee

Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
Quote: I tried setup 2 above with the Note 2 but the sound was disappointing...much worse than the USB Dac cable hooked up to my computer. Does it matter what player you use?- Smokhee
