Sony PHA-1 portable DAC/amp
So, time we call for the extended battery-cover, using the charging contacts - not the USB. Make this love last :)- skrivefeil

Reply to review by 'skrivefeil' on item 'Beyer Dynamic DT 880 Premium 600 OHM Headphones'
You ought to start listing the equipment you use in your reviews. Either you're not at all powering these cans, or you just have a total mismatch of equipment. These should sound pretty nice given the right amplification.- skrivefeil

On USB cables and controller transfer modes (a series of questions to/replies from usb.org)
As a side note on the USB 3 matter, my (USB powered) Nuforce uDac 2 prefers my USB 3-port when powering my 600 Ohm Beyers. The uDac is officially recommended for 32 - 300 Ohm headphones, but you know, recommended, recoschmended. The USB 3 is capable of delivering higher voltage, which in...- skrivefeil

Review of Little Dot MKV Dual Mono Solid State Headphone Amplifier
Nice work, Radical! I think you had the exact same problem as I'm experiencing with my LittleDot DAC_II (the DAC with integrated head amp). Will try that some day soon, fingers crossed.- skrivefeil

Fake Miles Davis Tribute?
Not quite true. I had an incident like this. Paid $150 for the IEMs, some 20-25 in shipping, and then about 50 in taxes when they arrived in Norway. I got only the original $150 back AND I had to pay for shipping back to the US (with tracking). Shipping back was about $70, mostly because eBay...- skrivefeil

is hd 598 right choise for portable player?
The HD598's cable's got a 3,5mm plug in the headphone-end which you can twist and pull out. Should probably be shorter replacement-cables with 3,5mm in the amp/player-end available soon. Without it you would need the gigantic adapter, which is not at all an elegant solution. Portability...- skrivefeil

How to disassemble DT770?
Spooky; I don't know what purpose the cotton ring serve, but probably some dampening? What I do know is that removing the metal pins that held it together fixed my rattle. It looked kind of cheap and badly done, so I removed them and sew the ends together instead. Worked like a charm for me.- skrivefeil
