any decent portable wireless speakers under $150?
Hi all, I am looking for a portable wireless speaker set that I plan on using with my Windows laptop and my Android phone for under $150 (if possible). Let me know if I need to extend my budget (within reason) to find speakers that have decent quality. Number 1 for me is the sound quality...- sgogeta4

TBAAMII as cheap laptop DAC?
So my current laptop is the Lenovo W520 and the onboard audio, is well like most laptops - crap. I have the Fiio E5, Alessandro MS1i, and MEElectronics A151 and was thinking to get a cheap DAC. Would the Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro II be a good match for my gear? I mainly use the...- sgogeta4

MS1i on Fuze (w/ and w/o Fiio E5)
My volume is midway on the E5. This is quieter than plugging my MS1i into the Fuze directly. While on my laptop, using the same settings on the E5, it makes my MS1i headphones louder than when plugging the MS1i directly into it.- sgogeta4

MS1i on Fuze (w/ and w/o Fiio E5)
Just a weird thing that I wanted to know what's going on. Why is it that when plugging my MS1i into my headphone amp (E5) to my Fuze, it is quieter than just plugging the MS1i directly into the Fuze? On my laptop, the MS1i is much quieter directly plugged in (ie. just swap connection from the...- sgogeta4

Help in choosing a portable source
For portability, I love my setup - Sandisk Fuze v2 w/ Rockbox + Fiio E5. I picked up a nice arm band/rubber jacket from eBay for $2 and I attach the E5's clip to the back of the jacket (where the arm band slides in).- sgogeta4

What is a decent external/USB sound card for a laptop?
IMO, if you have a modern dual or quad core CPU, the amount of processor power utilized for sound processing is pretty minimal.- sgogeta4

Have Grado SR-60i, want amp/DAC...
Quote: Sorry, which section should this have gone - in the portable headphone amp section? While I know Grado's don't need amps, I wanted to get at least an external DAC (the amp part would just be a bonus) since my desktop uses integrated audio and it can get pretty noisy sometimes. I...- sgogeta4

Have Grado SR-60i, want amp/DAC...
So I just got a new pair of headphones (Grado SR-60i) and having read a few (older) threads, I'd like to ask for some final recommendations. I am looking for a sub-$200 and fairly portable amp/DAC for my new headphones. I'll be listening to music on my laptop/desktop (integrated audio) and Sansa...- sgogeta4
