I just grabbed one of these cards and lovet it.
Q: I have a pair of AKG K240 MKII's on the way and am wondering if the card will have enough juice to run the headphones without having to turn up the gain on the card?
And if not, then what is the best bet to help?

The AKG K240MKII is 55-Ohm.
I'm guessing middle gain.

Man im mad becous of this.... Microsoft ****ed up pretty much alot, u know what i want ? I wish they could implent similar system as dolby in a great movie with great sound effects. I dont understand why people claim others dont give a **** about sound. That so not true for me sound is more important than picture is, and what pleasure will u have if the game u are playing dont match the sound in quality. Anyway my opinion

Found these so far:

http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/1525/pg1/asus-xonar-phoebus-71-gaming-soundcard-review-introduction.html

http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/sound-cards/asus-rog-xonar-phoebus-1085654/review

Though I would not necessarily call the latter as a very 'detailed' review.

too bad you cant swap the opamps, AD797 (if you don't mind instability, which I dont) or THS4032, really do match well and make them sing. Assuming ofcourse AKG K240s :)
