FlaresPro/FlaresGold by Flare Audio
There is very good separation but the sound stage is small and precise. I do not think it is what you are after. HD2 Pro are very truthful to the recording and so is the sound stage reproduction. Nothing more nothing less.- sebna

FlaresPro/FlaresGold by Flare Audio
They are far from best I have ever heard, but they produce technically the best sound out of all IEMs I have tried and own. They can actual rival all my CANs (which no other IEM I know can do)... but that is exactly why I do not need them. I have multiple CANs, high-end speaker system so from...- sebna

If anybody would be interested I have Flare 2HD Pro for sale. They are less then month old. They had 4 uses of which 1 was 45 minutes and rest were 5-10 minutes to check how the burn-in progresses. Around 150h on the clock of pure burn-in so nicely run-in (I believe they have reached their...- sebna

I own both KPE and FD02 and it is true that FD02 are mostly better (other then soundstage) but they have hot HF which to extent can be tempered with simple mod but it will keep biting you on recordings with open HF no matter what. It will be just less of a problem. Saying this I cannot recommend...- sebna

That gives me some idea as KPE are not the most detailed piece of gear in the first place. They have health approach to detail retrieval I believe. Too much focus on detail retrieval can be a curse if every other aspect of sound reproduction does not go hand in hand with it. Thanks for this update.- sebna

Looking forward to your impressions and comparisons. I am especially interested in Sony vs KPE notes as I have KPE and I am considering Sony's as I find KPE to be quite all over the place with the FR reproduction.- sebna
