Waveterminal U24 External USB Sound Card Review
Has anyone compared the U24 and the Transit on a reclocking DAC? Reclocking DACs are said to be source-independent, but I have read otherwise. I have used only the Transit with my DAC, so I want to see what others may say here. I have a Muslical Fidelity TriVista 21, and it reclocks. I do like...- Schrieks

Why do you listen to headphones?
I listen out of necessity. I MUST not hear my co-worker's chatter! See, I first got V6s 12 years ago in the Navy since I couldn't have speakers. I noticed they sounded better than any speakers I'd heard up to that point, and I begun to prefer headphones, but because of situational...- Schrieks

Loud buzz. Is it my M-Audio Transit, Windows, DAC?

Loud buzz. Is it my M-Audio Transit, Windows, DAC?
It is quiet in general. Unfortunately I don't have a second DAC on hand, and I don't have a second card. The only USB one worth it is the Transit, I think. When I put latency to very high I heard no clicks and no buzz, but because I don't know what combination of events triggers it within...- Schrieks

Loud buzz. Is it my M-Audio Transit, Windows, DAC?
I have a big problem with some piece of my setup. Currently I have a Laptop > M-Audio Transit > Glass toslink > TriVista 21 DAC. Problem: I sometimes get a loud electronic buzz. I am playing music through the computer I am doing work on, but I still wouldn't expect this. I have had my...- Schrieks

So-Cal Meet Thread
Add my name to the list. We decided to come back from Japan early to make the meet. Yeah, I'm kidding. Do add my name, though, 'cause I will be back for the meet, but the reason is it's monsoon season and they're expected to have thunderstorms for the next 2 weeks or so.- Schrieks

Why do you people keep scheduling meets while I am busy? This time I will be in Japan. I'll, uh, be at the meet in spirit, though.- Schrieks

Cocteau Twins remasters any good?
I was listening to Treasure by Cocteau Twins (still am, as I write) and noticing how it sounds like the CD was mastered by someone holding a mic to some speakers playing a good tape of the album... and I wondered, "When will someone remaster this?" ..Well, I looked online and found it was... -
