Just acquired a pair of these. There is a surprising amount of detail packed in their sound. Question I have is what are you guys using to power these? I've kinda been in and out of the hobby over the years and my "favorite" amp is a tube amp and Im not sure the output impedance is a great...

Anybody messed with some EQ for the old LCD2 rev 2 pre fazor? I believe they are the ones that the LCD2 classic was possibly modeled after?

Was looking at these but I have question. They look like TRS plugs. Dont the elears need the mono plugs instead? I wonder if these will still work? I hope so. Please let us know how they work out. Cheers

I tried the dekoni's and the brainwavz. With and without the ring. Loved the comfort. But in the end the stock pads just sounded right. So I went back to stock.

Thanks for the links everyone. I have the same issue with the Massdrop Fostex X00's. Great headphones with a ridiculous, unnecessarily heavy, unwieldy cable. WHY!?!?

I'd be interested in just a decent replacement cable. Nothing fancy or expensive. Just something so I don't have to deal with the ridiculously heavy and long stock cable. I do really love how dynamic and punchy they are. Pretty fun to listen to.

I agree. I need to try this with some different materials. The rings with the dekoni sheepskins turned them into a boomy bassy mess

Nice review of the different pads. I LOVE the comfort of the sheepskins. Unfortunately I like the sound with stock pads better. With or without the rings. With rings is too bassy, without is a hair too hot and just kind of unbalanced. I may have to lookout for the fenestrated pads next time...

Got the dekoni sheepskin pads from the latest massdrop. With the attenuator rings. it seems like now they are tooo bassy for my liking.
