The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread
You should try blowing into the driver, maybe there's some hair or dirt in there. I used to run into those problems, that worked out for me.- ph0ngt3p

Thanks. So the cord will work anywhere, it's just the plug that's made for the 120VAC mains in US, right ?- ph0ngt3p

I've found a 6/4/10 version of the speedball manual. Is it too old ? Any major differences between this and the newer revised one ?- ph0ngt3p

So they'll include a CD with the manuals ? I didn't know about it. But then why'd they put the PDF manuals in the cart ? Will try to email Doc now, thanks- ph0ngt3p

Balanced IEM's for rock music
I think the Etymotic HF5 is a very good choice. I don't know about the Philips S2 but the HF5 is definitely one of the best at its price range. And yes, it's very good for rock (Tool sounds like heaven with these). The stock tips are pretty comfortable but you can try Shure Olives tips in case...- ph0ngt3p

I have tried the Shure Olives and the Klipsch Gel but to my ear they are nowhere near the stock tri-flange in terms of sound quality. IMO the stock tri-flange are very comfortable as well, I only felt itchy for awhile at first but then it went away and it felt like there's nothing in my ears- ph0ngt3p
