Paul, I have bought the 501/601/701 pads from this company for my K501's. No problems, bit of a long delivery time for the K601 pads but well worth the wait.

I don't dispute your pioneering spirit but why try to drastrically change something that sounds great anyway? I've tried the K701 pad change & it sounds excellent on certain recordings but it changes the sonic signature so much it's not the same headphone. One step forward followed by two steps...

The CanAmp only has phono connectors so you would need an appropriate cable. I guess it might power extremely efficient speakers.
