Best IEM for isolation and clarity around £100 (~$150)
Hello I am in the UK and am looking for an IEM for use in noisy places, so I need really good isolation. I'm looking for good clarity, fairly balanced sound signature and not too much base. I owned both the Re0 and Re400 before but they both broke and I no longer want to buy...- lemon2

Replacement for Head-Direct Re0
Hi I loved the sound signature of me Re0s. I liked the sound-stage, the clarity and the light bass. I mostly want excellent sound-stage for classical music. However my pair have broken and I can no longer find them to buy in the UK. Could anyone recommend me an IEM around £100...- lemon2

10" subwoofer vs 18" subwoofer
Quote: I've realised that is certainly true about driver size, after all the BK XLS 200 is also a 10", not to mention higher-end 10" subs. Well I do know for sure that the low-end response will be better, I suppose the balance between bass perception and price is an entirely...- lemon2

10" subwoofer vs 18" subwoofer
I was very disappointed with my LTC SW100 10" subwoofer. I am considering upgrading to a custom 18" sealed subwoofer. (Specifically the Fi SSD18 with Beh. EP4000.) This upgrade would cost around £400 as I have got some great used prices. Could anyone with experience with subs tell me if going...- lemon2

Sennheiser IE8 Custom Tips

Subwoofers: LTC SW100 vs Wharfedale SW150
Hi I have the £80 LTC SW100 subwoofer, and I am wondering if the £170 Wharfedale SW150 would be worth the upgrade for me. The only music genre I will use it for is loud and bass-heavy club music. Most of the people who hear it won't be audiophiles so I don't want to pay over the...- lemon2

How to connect a subwoofer to computer?
Thanks guys, I have ordered a 3.5mm to dual RCA cable. The sub only came with a single white RCA male-to-male. I suppose they assume I will be using an amp rather than a motherboard or soundcard. BTW, am I stifling the sub massively by not amplifying it, or would it be ok? How do I know...- lemon2

How to connect a subwoofer to computer?
Hi guys, I know next to nothing about speakers and I am a bit stuck. I bought the LTC SW100 subwoofer to complement my Edifier R1600Ts, but I have no idea how to connect it to my pc, there are so many sockets everywhere! Here is a picture of the outputs on my PC: And here are...- lemon2

From Sony Ex Series to Sennheiser IE8s?
Hi, If I really like the sound signature of the Sony EX series, am I likely to like the Sennheiser IE8s? (I am considering them for their bass and soundstage.)- lemon2

Similar sound signature to Samsung Galaxy SII stock earphones?
Hi guys, I have a bit of a problem. I had the RE0s, which I loved. They have good soundstage and clarity for the price, but they do lack massively in bass. When my RE0s broke, I used the Samsung Galaxy SII stock earphones- and I thought they sounded better! The bass was larger of course...- lemon2

IEMS with anti-tangle cable and low sound-leakage
Unless anyone else has an ideas, I'm going to give the A151s a try as they are cheap enough to buy on a whim like that. If I am unsatisfied with their SQ I will get the Westone 2. It sounds like I should skip over the Westone 1.- lemon2

IEMS with anti-tangle cable and low sound-leakage
Hi, I have the RE0s, but I am looking for IEMs with an anti-tangle cable and low sound-leakage. I like to listen to my IEMs at high volumes in both quiet and noisy environments without disturbing people closeby. I don't want the SQ to be significantly worse than the RE0s as that is...- lemon2
