DAC far quieter than just PC/phone
Yeah, I'd guessed, but I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being stupid and missing something. Thanks.- jwl12345

DAC far quieter than just PC/phone
It only comes with one cable, but I tried it with some cheap IEMs and the same issue is occuring. I wouldn't think it would have an issue driving cheap IEMs to a listenable level, but I'm not an expert.- jwl12345

DAC far quieter than just PC/phone
Hey, sorry if this is a stupid question. I have roughly zero experience with DACs or amps. I recently received my first DAC (the Zorloo ZuperDAC from a Massdrop drop) in the mail. While trying it out, I've noticed that it's very quiet - both through my PC and through my phone (with USB...- jwl12345

AKG "K267 TIËSTO" - Discussion, Impressions & Review Thread
The sound really is great for the $150ish they cost, but I babied the **** out of mine and they still snapped even after AKG's revisions. I think it's just a fatal flaw with the design, honestly. Shame, cause they're great headphones.- jwl12345

AKG "K267 TIËSTO" - Discussion, Impressions & Review Thread
Hate to revive a dead thread, but I would strongly recomment not buying this headphone. I had the reinforced 10X version with the bump and always treated carefully (although I have a big head). Hinge broke today in a similar manner to other ones while putting it on my head. Well done...- jwl12345

Sony MDR-EX750
There's no ANC - I've seen a version with the same model number on the internet with what appears to be microphones on it, but this, even though it has the same model number, isn't the same pair. Not sure why.- jwl12345

Sony MDR-EX750
Anyone know anything about these? I was just given Japanese ones and there's almost nothing on the English language internet about them. I'm far from an audiophile, so I don't really know what to listen for to give good impressions here - sorry! I can say that the bass is very strong...- jwl12345

AKG "K267 TIËSTO" - Discussion, Impressions & Review Thread
So some previous posts said that the isolation is bad, but others said that it is good and InnerFidelity measures it as about the same as the K550. Any verdict about this yet?- jwl12345

Current best deal for $150 closed-back over-ear headphones?
Thanks guys, but I ended up getting the K267s. Also picked up a pair of Jays a-Jays Five for like 30 bucks for when I need the extra isolation.- jwl12345

Current best deal for $150 closed-back over-ear headphones?
Looking for something to wear in public/on transportation such as the subway. My Creative Aurvana Live 2's just aren't cutting it with their bad isolation. I have a bigass head (probably big ears too, but I don't really know), and I tend to listen to a lot of EDM/pop/electropop/rap. You might...- jwl12345

Best Soundstage (don't care about sound quality) for <$50?
Just looking for a cheap pair of headphones for gaming, and I don't really care about the sound quality - I'm not going to be listening to music through them. I'm just looking for the best soundstage for directional audio in FPS games for 50 bucks or less. The cheaper, the better, obviously...- jwl12345

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
This is gonna be a tough one. Sub-$50, maybe a little more if really necessary. Closed - good isolation. Decently portable - not like my JVC HA-RX700s which are massive... Decent looking. Good sound. Anyone?- jwl12345
