Radsone EarStudio ES100
Just did the latest firmware update without issue on my Mac. LDAC was auto-selected with my Pixel 2 and works great. Must say the sound quality is just outstanding.- JMelvin

MHDT Lab Pagoda: A review ...
@s1rrah .. thanks for the comprehensive and wonderful review. MHDT Lab has been on my radar for quite some time but I never took a chance on any of their DACs until recently. After reading your review I suspected the Pagoda would be just the right fit for me and placed an order. I'm so happy I...- JMelvin

Radsone EarStudio ES100
I got mine a week ago as well. Paired with my Pixel 2 (aptX HD) streaming Deezer HiFi sounds fantastic .. best I've heard from bluetooth. Radsone ran a couple of months behind schedule and the shipping issue was a mess but it was worth the wait.- JMelvin

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
So far I'm liking what I hear .. alot. I'm using my BiMBy to make a nice little Schiit stack. What's surprised me most is the soundstage on some recordings has been almost scary, a beautiful sense of location and space, with plenty of detail.- JMelvin

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
I'm a bit late to the party, but my R70x should be arriving tomorrow. I'm hoping for a good match with my Asgard 2. Anyone else using this pairing?- JMelvin

Suggest a new amp for my Ovation 565s.
Well, I've done quite a bit of reading (before and after posting this) in hope of answering my own question but there is so much to wade through it's almost daunting. I was hoping for someone to chime in here but .. oh well. Thanks anyways.- JMelvin

Suggest a new amp for my Ovation 565s.
Many moons ago (I think it was 2000) I purchased the 565s on impulse at a time when I needed some headphones. While travelling, I walked into Cambridge Soundworks to see/hear what they were selling and when I put these on, I was stunned by the sound. Needless to say I walked out with them. Only...- JMelvin

Chord QuteHD DAC - 'Pulse-Array' Teconology Discusion Thread
Thanks for clarifying and in fact, Redbook is exactly what I had in mind. The QuteHD, as reported in various reviews, online forums, and my own personal experience, does wonders for good-old cd rips/downloads. I was a bit more of a software up-sampling fan prior to purchasing this DAC and now...- JMelvin

Chord QuteHD DAC - 'Pulse-Array' Teconology Discusion Thread
I purchased the QuteHD several months ago and can say with confidence I'm off the DAC merry-go-round. I'm curious as to why Chord believes only hardware up-sampling has any real benefit as opposed to software up-sampling. Personally, I am not a fan of up-sampling in software but a couple of...- JMelvin

Schiit Gungnir DAC
Hi guys .. first post. I've been considering an upgrade recently and found this thread after searching for info on the Gungnir. I've been a happy Bifrost user for almost a year now but wondered if the Gungnir would be a significant enough upgrade to warrant the expense. After reading the...- JMelvin
