Sennheiser RS185 vs RS220?
Is the RS220 still widely considered to be better overall when it comes to SQ? I was about to upgrade to the 220 (currently have the 180), but then recently I heard about the new x85 range. Thank-you.- jalyst

Sennheiser RS180 Battery Issue
Did you have a look at how old this thread is before necro-ing? >.> This gear's positively ancient, there's a far better successor now, not-to-mention competing devices from other ODMs/OEMS.- jalyst

Sennheiser RS220 Availability?
Thanks mate, book-marked.... I'll get them in the new year I think... Already pretty happy with the 180's for casual use. Been meaning to get a good corded pair for "years". So it might be time to finally get them first. I have most of the gear to justify it now. Cheers!- jalyst

Sennheiser RS220 Availability?
Quote: I would be surprised if it didn't just use standard NiMH AA or AAA's. My RS180's did, they were a lesser-known make & model... But I researched them & they turned out to be known amongst battery enthusiasts (yes they exist) as good. *EDIT* Ah I see you've now confirmed...- jalyst

Sennheiser RS220 Availability?
Quote: Aw bummer! Quote: Fascinating. Thanks for the insights.... I hadn't been following the company behind Kleer for some time. So SMSC also make KleerNet, which is what Apple's Airplay uses? Quote: Sounds like you need... the Powerex MH-C9000! One...- jalyst

Sennheiser RS220 Availability?
Quote: IIRC it's exactly the same for my RS180's... It's one thing I find a bit annoying, shame they haven't changed that for the 220. Quote: Sounds mildly interesting... I'm in Australia, is it possible to buy something like that here? Quote: I don't...- jalyst

Sennheiser RS160, 170 ,180... Anyone?
@morunas Your posts are off-topic, but if money's no concern: RS180 or RS220 + Essence ST or Essence STX (if you don't have 1x spare PCI slot)* That is all you need to know really... *There's prolly better external cards, but internals are handy for various reasons. And the...- jalyst

Sennheiser RS220 Availability?
Quote: Multiple driver cans are a joke, there is "some" positional advantage for gaming, if you don't care about a drop in the actual SQ. Just use a HTRF algorithm (Dolby Headphones etc) to simulate surround via stereo headphones, just as good, & you don't compromise on SQ.- jalyst
