I bought 2 months ago an pair of active monitoring Neumann KH120. During 2 years I tried high end headphone Abyss, HD800, HE6, SR007/009, Code X etc. None of them can compete with my pair of KH120. If you have space for a pair of monitoring don't waste money with headphone.- Hun7er

They also have low distortion. The problem is that most amp didn't have the right driver tube. So at the end you "hear" the distortion of the driver not the output. But yes if you want the best performance stay away ! However I prefer a bit more pleasant sound but don't that want that...- Hun7er
