Audioengine A2 vs. Wharfedale Diamond 9.0/1 or 10.0/1 vs. ?

In a small room such as yours, the A2 would be a great choice. I do all my non-headphone listening these days on my AudioEngines. Beats the old NAD component setup I once had with several different high-end bookshelf speakers hands-down, with two exceptions: 1) the low end is a little out of...

    Comfortable Dress shoe, any recommendation?

Not only are Clark's comfortable, but they are also extremely durable. I have two pairs of browns and two pairs of blacks that I rotate -- I must have hundreds of miles worth of walking on both and they are still holding up great. Each pair is on 3-5 years of use in daily rotation. Other...

Are the Ety Er-4P's what I'm looking for?

I think the Ety 4P and hf5 and hf2 and 6 and 6i all have ample bass for "rocking out" IF you find tips that give you a proper seal in your ear. For me, the regular tri-flanges seem to work best (which is why I abandoned the ER6). --Chris

May I ask where you purchase your SSD drives? I'm looking for a good deal on an SLC SSD, 2.5" (or 1.8" that can be rigged), IDE drive. --Chris

New Macbook & Macbook pro are out

I have mixed feelings: 1) Although all my external devices have USB 2.0 as an option, I've always preferred Firewire (especially because I can chain devices without a hub). 2) I like the light weight of the new MacBook (.1 lbs lighter than my 12" PB). I'd be inclined to get the Pro though...

    Linux-fi

My preference is Xubuntu -- lightweight and simple variant of Ubuntu (based on the Xfce WM). Although, the Fedora Core installation process is smoother in Parallels on my Mac. --Chris
