Ok. Thanks for clarifying If you could go a bit further, do you believe the Lynx cans to be good? I would assume that because they were better than the UE6000 and you liked the UE6000 that the Lynx would them be great by transitive property. I guess I am just not understanding your logic here.

How pronounced is the high freq roll-off on the m-80s? Is it something that would be noticeable to an un-trained set of ears?

I was under the impression that the m100s were too bassy to be regarded in the same category as the m50. Can you give a comparison to the m50 and m80?

I used a simple connector from Radio Shack. They have a few stereo plugs and the most expensive one fit perfectly. 

Did the same thing, based on your inspiration.   Happy to report success. Still sounds great!
