NEW CORDA HEADFIVE: A New Amp to Celebrate Head-Fi's Fifth Anniversary!

Yeah, the slot for the voltage selector was either too big or too small for the slotted screw drivers that I had (coins were definately too big). I had luck when I tried "forcing" it with one screw driver that was smaller than what it should be. Probably the only thing I had trouble with this...

NEW CORDA HEADFIVE: A New Amp to Celebrate Head-Fi's Fifth Anniversary!

Serial number 49 just arrived in the Albany, NY Area! This is my first international package, and I didn't expect it to arrive so fast. The German stamps are pretty unique too compared to the ones I've seen in the States. Plus, a free large blue bag came with it :-P

NEW CORDA HEADFIVE: A New Amp to Celebrate Head-Fi's Fifth Anniversary!

My amp is shipping today too! I paid on April 14/15th... which I think is later than most people who is getting their amp shipped today (maybe a good sign for the late payers? ).

    New Scam!! Beware!

I read from one of the links posted above that some countries were setup with the normal telephone numbers (xx-xxx-xxxx) and thus didn't require the country code to be entered.

Anybody heard of Auzentech? Selling at woot.com for $100

If you don't know what w00t.com is, it is a store that sells only one item a day - usually at lower prices than other stores at the time. Most of the time, the item is ok, but there are some exceptions ($50 for WD 250GB). Anyways, I don't know if the soundchip it uses is any good (C-Media...

    Ivy vs. Nearly free

I'm actually at RPI for a co-op doing PHP scripting... but I really go to RIT in Rochester, NY. Since I am new in the area, it is only natural for me to compare RPI to RIT and where they are based (Troy vs. Rochester/Henrietta). From what I saw of the campus (30 minute walk-through) the...

For those of you who want to try Linux

Just wanted to mention that you can try many Linux distro from the comfort of your own Windows desktop via VMware's Virtual Player (completely free). The Virtual Player will load up a "virtual appliance" which is basically a virtual OS living on your current OS. It is similar to a Live CD...

EMU / Patchmix Mic in Help

I am not on my computer w/ PatchMix so I can't provide screenies atm. You need to create two strips, one for the left and right in channels. You probably would want to set the balance accordingly for each strips. Have both strip send to AUX1. In Aux1, have it send to "WAV" or something...

Anyone started their own company after college?

Hi, Most of you probably don't know me, so here is a quick introduction. I'm a 3rd year Computer Engineering Tech (Applied version of CompE) student at RIT with two more years to go. I'm in MS/BS program so I hope to graduate w/ a MS in Computer Science. One of my classes asked us to do a...

PatchMix DSP - controlling analog and digital outputs separately

Thanks for the screen-shot :-) Hopefully it will clarify what I was talking about. The only thing I'm not sure about is that I think you should set the return of both Auxes to negative infinity as I think the return will amplify the signal going to the main mix. Any thoughts on this?

PatchMix DSP - controlling analog and digital outputs separately

I don't know if this will work to your liking, but you could try having your output strips (WAV and ASIO) send to both Aux buses. For Aux 1: Put an equalizer in the first effect box and have it send it to the analog out (PCI Card Out1/2) For Aux 2: Same as above, but send to your digital...
