    post your grado mods....

Does anyone here own G-cushion pads (preferably still in perfect shape) and could measure out the exact dimensions of them, as accurately as possible? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. The exact dimensions I'm talking about are in the picture, looking at the pad from a profile: Thanks!

    Why the Beats Hate?

The whole "beats suck" thing was blown way out of proportion even back when they weren't really all that good, truthfully they were never as HORRIBLE as some people made them out to be, they were just very overpriced at first, but the 2nd and especially the 3rd generations of Studio's and Solo's...

Grado Modders Go Ypsilon (Elleven Acoustica drivers and builds thread)

Did anyone try this wooden Audeze-like setup with different pads instead of original Audeze ones?   What are the exact measurements of the Audeze pads earpad opening, how deep is it in the front, how deep on the rear?

3D printed closed headphones with HD800 driver

I worked on something very similar to this, trying to put a driver that is usually inside open headphones into a closed back one with custom made baffle and cup, very similar to what you have here. Inherently wrong for many reasons, one of the main ones is that drivers which work specifically in...

Grado Modders Go Ypsilon (Elleven Acoustica drivers and builds thread)

Wow that's impressive if they're on the level of high end drivers from big manufacturers.       Nhoords have 3D printed grills if I'm not mistaken, so it's hard to get a nice fillet on an edge with that.   Will you maybe install the Epsilon R1 into that Audeze headphone that you...

Grado Modders Go Ypsilon (Elleven Acoustica drivers and builds thread)

When you say best mids you've heard, you mean out of the Grado aftermarket drivers,  or including the stock Grado drivers like the ones in the PS500, PS1000, GS1000, RS's, etc.?

Is it totally acoustically transparent?  I just realized I could probably use that  materials that's used for speaker grills. It's a bit thick, but it should be perfectly transparent and not change the sound at all.

Grado Modders Go Ypsilon (Elleven Acoustica drivers and builds thread)

Hey guys, I have a question not directly related to the Ypsilon driver, but the filter that should be in front of the driver. I'm talking about that totally transparent fabric that can be stretched over the front of the driver and block the holes, so that dust or hair doesn't fall in. Does any...

Just a question...are the new S2 and R1 drivers slightly thinner than the first version?  They're 46x8 mm right? Old was 46x9mm if I'm correct.

[DIY MOD] Upgrading DT770 with 50mm Tesla drivers and reworking internals

Are these drivers actually any good? I mean they look similar to T1 ones, but do they sound considerably or any better than stock DT770 drivers?

Can you compare the overall sound to any other headphones? Where would you rank them....like under 500, 500-1000 or over 1000 dollar category?

I presume this means they have great bass extension and punch as well, since most 90's music was dependent on that? :P

What amplifier to get around 100 dollars?

Yes, there is no point in amplifying a signal that comes out of a bad sounding source. You'll make it louder of course, but that's about it. On top of it, you'll 99% certainly have ground loop issues, as is almost always the case when connecting low end sound cards to external...

What amplifier to get around 100 dollars?

If gaming is important to you, then get a sound card.  Something like the Asus Essence ST or STX will do a FAR better job at powering those headphones than any external entry level amplifier anywhere near the price will. You can get used cards like that for far less than 100€, and...
